Hi, my Chrome seems stuck at step one
I've done it three times and transactions have been confirmed but page stays an "Tx Pending"
Dev console is throwing strange error:
DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for chrome-extension://hdokiejnpimakedhajhdlcegeplioahd/sourcemaps/onloadwff.js.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME
The three transactions corresponds to three different times I've had to reload the page and try to register the name in the ENS

@pepihasenfuss
The error seems to be a warning by adblocker, a chrome plug-in. I get the same warning and adblocker is disabled for the page I 'm working with, my own app. Try to turn adblocker off or remove it for a test. But I'm not sure that it interferes with your transactions. I can see 3x commits that are OK. Perhaps, you or your app didn`t wait > 60 seconds? Which tool are you using? @CarlosIvanConde_twitter

I shouldn't have an adblocker, but I have a "McAfee DLP Endpoint Chrome Extension". Does it harm?
I've been waiting more than 15 minutes with the browser opened and the page with the spinner saying "Tx Pending"
For the wallet I'm using standard MetaMask chrome extension. Chrome is updated, also.
Are those transactions lost forever? :'(
Peter Haas
@pepihasenfuss
Sorry, I don't know your McAfee extension. The three transaction did all the same: A commitment for you. I guess, you will have to start again, perhaps without the extension.
The good thing is: Your desired domain name will be reserved for you for 24h. You have time to figure out what went wrong. Good luck!

BTW, if a transaction hangs or you have to wait too long and you are working on mainnet, you can adjust the gasLimit according to this live statistics: https://etherscan.io/gasTracker. The gasTracker often helps to find the right amount of gas needed for transactions to be mined. If mainnet is crowded, transaction with little gas will be ignored for hours. @CarlosIvanConde_twitter

I’ve get an ens name and saved them to my eth account, after this ens asked me to save them, I do.
now is my ens name shown on top of my metamask instead my 0x... adress
my question is how to delete the ens name and get my 0x adress in the line back
cant find something about this?
Peter Haas
@pepihasenfuss
I'm not sure, but I think that Metamask uses ens and it prefers to show the human-readable name "somedomain" instead of an 0x000..... ethereum address. That is the purpose of the ens, to have human readable names. Play around with metamask, somehow it still knows your pure eth address. But I'm not an expert on metamask, sorry.

Hey everyone! I was wondering if there was a way to find a list of all registered .eth domains at some point in time, or better yet, a way to find a list of all registered .eth domains with a content hash at some point in time.

If this is the incorrect forum for requesting adds to the multi coin, please let me know where I should submit.
Can Nano be added as a multi coin option ? it is 64:HEX IE 587CA3A5B73DBC157F3517499857F7D1DD51720EB197DAB68EBB4A89713DAAAC
Looking to add support to a web wallet for .eth address aliases and currently the only standard for this platform is project called OpenCap that runs off chain https://github.com/opencap/protocol
Ryan Kuba
@thelamer
I guess the officially supported method for this now would be to generate text records with a custom named key
Nick Johnson
@Arachnid
@thelamer The best way to get support added is to send a PR to https://github.com/ensdomains/address-encoder
Please don't define new text records for this - we have a type for it already!

Hi, help, I can’t call the function "configuredomain" so that other users can register subdomains by themself , the function called in the contract 0xe65d8AAF34CB91087D1598e0A15B582F57F217d9 transaction gives the error "ALERT: Transaction Error. Exception thrown in contract code." , the domain was registered about a month ago, help, maybe I need to do something else before calling the function - "configuredomain"

Even though ENS does not support Kovan - does anyone know if there is an existing deployment? If there isn't one I'll just have to deploy it myself, but it someone has already done it that would be great news!

We at https://tokentrove.com would be interested in adding ENS names to our marketplace. It should allow for easy searching of names, offers, etc. Would the team be interested at all in linking to our site as a place of aftermarket sales if we added them? Thanks.
Peter Haas
@pepihasenfuss
@davekaj Done. You'll find an in-official, experimental installation of most of the contracts of ens2 on kovan, follow the contracts: PublicResolver 0xc30F6CCc48F1eA5374aC618dfe5243ddD1e264E7, ETHRegistryWithFallback 0xB66B2f307B6e46a6D038a85997B401aE87455772, ETHRegistrarController 0x7966398e99a60c7b3465A394B22C0b5ce1012EC9, Root. 0x821164869e097c7fEcD301EE68d2231A3565D5C9, TestRegistrar: 0x327033bA7B23A6E3a3Ca165e44D619E3dd675f8b, 0xCE228fF5EFCE6403Cd011046138488FF31C05Da9 ReverseRegistrar and to play around another tld at 0x74f0ee07f2f67fdcf8a4ae91e0a7ec5762494ebd, serving ".org" domains. Please, consider the installation incomplete and experimental, hope it is working for you. I needed a kovan ens2 installation anyway.

Can someone help me? I started step 1 of the registration process, but I had a pending transaction for over 12 hours, so I sped it up via Metamask and that worked however, I can't get back to where I was in the process now. I did this twice thinking I could get back on track, but I'm in the same situation again.

@tabcat
i have a ui suggestion for the app, when searching without .eth extention a list component shows the matching name with the .eth extention and it seems like you should be able to favorite that name from that list but mousing over to click the favorite icon removes the favorite icon and replaces it with 'available' or 'unavalaible'
Nick Johnson
@Arachnid
@shakedog If you leave the app while transaction 1 is pending, it won't remember when you come back; you need to leave the browser tab open.
@tabcat Would you mind filing a feature request at https://github.com/ensdomains/ens-app/issues/new?
anders
@tabcat
ok
btw id just like to say how cool it is that a bunch of 3 and 4 letter names are still available, looks like the scaled pricing had a good affect

Hi there, do you by chance have a typechain project of the contracts?

And do you have defintions for https://www.npmjs.com/package/ethereum-ens ?

Here is typed contracts if someone needs: https://easyupload.io/gmw465

@Arachnid Nano addresses are 32 byte Hex strings converted to base 32 with a pre-pended identifier nano_ , I think you might be greatly over-estimating my abilities when you say create a PR. Looking through the code I am not sure how you would go about storing and defining a data type like this.
What I can tell you is that on chain the data should be stored as the Public key which is the 32 byte Hex string IE:

5b65b0e8173ee0802c2c3e6c9080d1a16b06de1176c938a924f58670904e82c4

Then clientside in wallets/UIs consumers can base32 this into the address used IE:

nano_1pu7p5n3ghq1i1p4rhmek41f5add1uh34xpb94nkbxe8g4a6x1p69emk8y1d

If you have any pointers on where to start I would be happy to try.

@zh
payment via metamask seems broken on and.domains - i paid already 3 TIMES the gas fee (confirming the 2 transactions) and it just closed ALL MY WINDOWS, including the registration one, so continuing is impossible - needed to start again and again from the biginning and pay the gas again...
is this "registar" kind of scam?
Ryan Kuba
@thelamer
@Arachnid I flushed out the logic for Nano here ensdomains/address-encoder#42 , it looks like your pipeline might be busted at head due to NodeJS stable bump to 12.x on 19/05/2020 , travis is pulling in at the stable tag and babel deps do not install properly
