Once Berlin fork is activated, what would happen to all the nodes that did not upgrade geth? Would the older fork continue running in some form?
can I now when my geth fast sync node will end syncing ? it's now on
I had created POA private network and I set miner.gasprice to 200000000000. Why I still can make a transaction with 0 gasprice ? ''' geth --miner.gasprice "200000000000" --allow-insecure-unlock --port 3000 --networkid 4224 --datadir=./pentiumnetwork --maxpeers=5 --rpc --rpcport 8545 --rpcaddr localhost --rpccorsdomain "http://localhost:8000" --rpcapi "eth,net,web3,personal,miner"

Hi, my geth is listening on 0.0.0.0, how do I have it listen on ipv6?
What does this mean err="the method parity_netPeers does not exist/is not available"
Does anyone know what could have happened to Ropsten network? I have a node on ethereum/client-go:v1.9.25 and at one point, test transaction hashes stopped showing up on ropsten.etherscan.io But I can see my hashes at https://teth.bitaps.com/ Why can't I work with ropsten as before? Config: ethereum/client-go:v1.9.25 command: --ropsten --networkid=3 --syncmode light --nousb --http.api admin,personal,txpool,eth,web3 --http --http.addr 0.0.0.0 --cache=12288 --maxpeers=200 ports: - 30303:30303 - 30304:30304 - 8546:8545

Hey there, does anybody know the requirements for Ethereum node on VPS/VDS in light or fast mode? Thanks!
@DeviceAdviceRu_twitter: You must have 1TB SSD and 8GB RAM to run a full node, at least 512GB SSD and 4GB RAM, but I would recommend the former. Minimum hardware requirements (for initial sync): 4 CPU, 8 GB RAM, 100 GB disk Minimum hardware requirements (for normal operation): 2 CPU, 4 GB RAM, 200 GB disk I now have nodes running on the following hardware:
for the blockchain you need very fast, preferably local ssd disks, the size of the cut-down blockchain in openethereum is 390G
at least 4 cpu
minimum 16GB RAM For the ether node, the requirements are very high. Sometimes the disks do not pull the load and the node stupidly cannot fully synchronize. But the latest releases of openethereum 3 seem to have fixed this problem. Synchronization is much faster. So now we need to take a virtual machine with at least 500G disk. Ether nodes are the most expensive.
Top 6 networks with their respective number of reachable nodes.
@cyphix:systemli.org thanks a lot! I heard that nodes in light/fast modes can not get any peers, because full nodes do not want to waste their resources for that, it that could be true? My goal is to get details on all pending transactions (mempool), is to possible to do on node in fast/light mode? Thanks again!
