    which compiler version should I use for SafeMath_tests? I get http://browser/SafeMath_test.sol:25:12: DeclarationError: Undeclared identifier. Did you mean "assert"?

    BTW, gist issues should be solved if you use a VPN.

    @ninabreznik @serapath - I updated the gist remix.loadgist('add9633c2b0101f6fda0aadcfe350f60’) so it will work with solidity 5. Try going through the tutorial - https://github.com/ethereum/remix-workshops/tree/master/basicDeployment I
    It is split into 3 parts but that can change - also I haven’t updated the pdf at all yet.
    We will use the current interface for the workshops unless necessary. But will give a tour of what the new interface will look like. So it won’t be too crazy to set up. But I didn’t get the front end to work -try to see if it will for you. Maybe I’m doing something silly.
    Rob
    @ryestew
    And here’s a hackmd of the workshops for review https://hackmd.io/6ED3RIloTTWBC56BLbTrsQ?both
    Rob
    @ryestew
    Oh the readme in the basicDeployment needs updating - I think
    yann300
    @yann300
    do you have a link?
    Rob
    @ryestew
    to where the readme?
    yann300
    @yann300
    yes
    Rob
    @ryestew
    coming up...
    ooops it doesn’t its a minimal readme.
    its the readme in my gist that needs updating or removing https://gist.github.com/ryestew/add9633c2b0101f6fda0aadcfe350f60
    yann300
    @yann300
    ah I thought it was the github README
    update works right? (it should i guess)
    Rob
    @ryestew
    yes that works - except I’m not sure if it removes files - anyway - I’ll remove.
    yann300
    @yann300
    @ryestew also, i will be pushing to remix alpha and remix live the fix for the github import, do you need it ?
    (that the fix for the API rate limit issue, then user need to provide their github access token)
    yann300
    @yann300
    @ryestew @GrandSchtroumpf i m here this morning. please ping me if anything for helping
    François
    @GrandSchtroumpf
    Ok. I'm finishing my stuff with plugin. It should be ready for the beginning of the afternoon
    Rob
    @ryestew
    @GrandSchtroumpf - I’m not going to be around this afternoon - but I can coordinate with you after.
    François
    @GrandSchtroumpf
    Ok, please tell me what you want me to do =).
    Rob
    @ryestew
    @yann - I’m not sure what I need to update for the API rate limit issue.
    @GrandSchtroumpf - I’d say go through any of the tutorial that interest you. And make sure they work - the issues could be Solidity 5 updates or gist or github URL’s. For the beginner one - I have updated the gist - I think - but but uhhh there might be another few updates I need to do. So maybe go through those later.
    François
    @GrandSchtroumpf
    Ok, what the repo already ?

    thx
    Dillon Kellar
    @d1ll0n
    I'm making a dapp that needs to have the ability to mess around with solidity code and I would like to be able to have a "check this out on remix" link that loads remix.ethereum.org with a https link the way you would if you clicked "import from https" on remix
    Is this possible right now?
    François
    @GrandSchtroumpf
    @d1ll0n Not sure to understand what you need. Do you want a "embedded version of Remix" that yu could put on your app ? Else you can integrate your app inside Remix with remix-plugin: https://github.com/ethereum/remix-plugin
    yann300
    @yann300
    @d1ll0n a trick could be to put a gist like https://remix.ethereum.org/#gist=<gistID>
    that'll load the gist contents in the file explorer... but not sure that what you want
    Dillon Kellar
    @d1ll0n
    @GrandSchtroumpf Sorry no I was referring to what @yann300 suggested
    @yann300 thank you!
    @yann300 do you know if there is a way to do this with the other import options? I tried doing #https=url and it did not work
    yann300
    @yann300

    do you know if there is a way to do this with the other import options? I tried doing #https=url and it did not work

    that way will not work... not sure we plan to do that anytime soon, please file an issue in github...
    a workaround would be to either: as @GrandSchtroumpf said, to write a tiny plugin that will pull the data from your sources and put it in remix.
    or you can put in a gist a sol file like:
    import "https://<path_to_solidity>"
    and compile this

    then all the linked files will be imported, compiled and put in the explorer
    Dillon Kellar
    @d1ll0n
    Ok gotcha, thank you! I think I may try to just embed remix-ide for now and submit an issue requesting this functionality
    Rob
    @ryestew
    I updated the basics workshop and will make updates on loading and recorder later tonight. I couldn’t get the workshop to work on alpha- on a workshop that I created.
