Now, the user at minimum will need the DAO address , that is all? But it requires some work on the wallet since ethereum wallet does not support that does it? I am talking from an enduser perspective.
@alexvandesande yeah true that.
Alex Van de Sande
@alexvandesande
Yes, it would require some work to make it easier for end users as ethereum frontend isn’t up to that level yet

@batteringram01
right got it

@alexvandesande Where can I find the answer to confirmation by second owner? There is no answer on slack.slock.it or forum.daohub.org

@Rincker
Hi, can someone point me to where I can resolve the lost Ether I send to my account but never arrived?
Luca Zeug
@luclu
@Rincker did something like this happen to you? ethereum/mist#605
Rincker
@Rincker
@luclu Yes, its 30 hours since the transaction..The wallet says it doesn't show incoming transactions, but then how can I send the ether in the account?
Luca Zeug
@luclu
Could it be that you mixed testnet and mainnet addresses?
Rincker
@Rincker
The Ether must be on the main net, the wallet may be testnet, but the adress worked. Do I need to open a wallet for mainnet? I was wondering how that worked..
Luca Zeug
@luclu
you can only send ether within one network (main or test).
Rincker
@Rincker
Luca Zeug
@luclu
is you wallet on the main net?
Rincker
@Rincker
How do you tell the two apart?
Main net icons are square?
Luca Zeug
@luclu
look at this screenshot ethereum/mist#605
you will see the red „test-net"
when you go in menu —> development —> network you can switch
be back later..
Rincker
@Rincker
The wallet is test net, sorry, it's in real big font
Luca Zeug
@luclu
@Rincker if you want to recover your ether (sorry, I didn’t knew it was possible) do the following:
copy the json-files from .ethereum/testnet/keystore to .ethereum/keystore
see here ethereum/mist#605

@SiphoMothamo
Hi guys, could you please help me with deploying a contact, do I need ethers?
Rincker
@Rincker
@luclu Ok, thanks!
SiphoMothamo
@SiphoMothamo
Hi @Rincker , Could you please assist me with deploying s contract?
Rincker
@Rincker
@SiphoMothamo Not sure right now. Maybe in two weeks time ;-) Ether that I 'lost' is back but stuck in the moved account. Not sure whether it is my mistake (wrong password)
Alex Van de Sande
@alexvandesande
@SiphoMothamo switch to the testnet, you’ll be able to mine your own ethers easily!
Rincker
@Rincker
@luclu It seems that by moving the json I make the test account visible in the main network, but because I created the number in the test network it is not the same, meaning it has a different owner and password of the account it represents in the main network. So even though I can see the ETH send to it in my wallet, I can not send from it. Maybe I'm wrong but I think the ETH is still lost..
Alex Van de Sande
@alexvandesande
@Rincker the address you linked is an account, not a contract wallet. If you sent it to a testnet account then it’s recoverable, but if you sent to a testnet wallet, then you’re out of luck
Rincker
@Rincker
@alexvandesande Can you point me to info on how to recover? It was send to a testnet account.

@alexvandesande I have not deployed a DAO, but a dao is essentially a contract right? So both dao address and contract address(token contract) are the same? Both the address are used to communicate or get that contract instance ?

http://chriseth.github.io/browser-solidity/?#gist=1e8ebf35ff1fd48aca46&version=soljson-latest.js

It says contract Democracy clearly, but just making sure since DAO addresses were looking alittle different compared to the token contract ones.

I will be able to do a CONTRACT_NAME.at(addr_contract) and get my instance right?

Hope i am not asking silly questions :smile:
Alex Van de Sande
@alexvandesande
@morpheyesh it depends. You could deploy two contracts, a dao and a token, and you’d have two addresses. But yes, both are contracts
Yeshwanth Kumar
@morpheyesh
got it

I have downloaded the wallet but Ichose the test net. since I dont know anything about coding. so I thought I could get familiar with the wallet before going main stream
How do I get to main stream now ?

hi,how we can set an account to confirm the done transaction with sample contract?
reeech
@richardshelby
or for the testnet: https://testnet.etherscan.io/
I'm a new dev to ether, can someone provide a sample how to send your own currency from the cmd line? (not ether, but a custom currency)
