ok, comparing the congress with the shareholder model, the working congress model has all the "public" in the right place, plus some other obvious differences.
Should have checked before asking such a basic question

s everything have to be so freaking frustrating? I simply want to put an Ethereum Wallet on my Raspberry Pi desktop so as to deploy an ERC20 Token I wrote. Is there a simple download-Install procedure? Thanks
Alex Lacey
@alexlacey
Dumb question: when creating a token that runs on the Ethereum blockchain, is it possible to Airdrop the coin to every single ether wallet on earth? Or is there some restriction on that?
Alex Van de Sande
@alexvandesande
yes it’s possible. It might be expensive on gas, or take some creativity on the development side
Alex Lacey
@alexlacey
So I would need to pay for the gas to distribute it? (I assume this is obvious but I just want to make sure because I'm super new at this)
Alex Van de Sande
@alexvandesande
You would need to pay the gas to deploy it, and would need to do something on the deployment side to set up all balances
Alex Lacey
@alexlacey

Isn't setting up the balances just boilerplate code? Or would it be complex?

Also, would the gas required to airdrop to everyone be prohibitively expensive?

stupid question, once you deployed a contract, can you make changes to the code?
fernando550
@fernando550
hey guys, i have a simple question: in the erc20 example we have tokenRecipient sender = tokenRecipient(_sender) where tokenRecipient is declared as an 'interface' outside of the contract class
function approveAndCall(address _spender, uint256 _value, bytes _extraData)
public
returns (bool success) {
tokenRecipient spender = tokenRecipient(_spender);
if (approve(_spender, _value)) {
spender.receiveApproval(msg.sender, _value, this, _extraData);
return true;
}
interface tokenRecipient { function receiveApproval(address _from, uint256 _value, address _token, bytes _extraData) public; }
the interface is called upon just by calling it? Also, how can you only send _sender variable in the tokenRecipient call if it takes 3 values?
or rather, the only function inside of it takes 3 values, so what are we passing _sender variable to?
