Hi everybody
I'm trying to set up a test (private) network and then exchange ethers between two hosts using cpp-ethereum.
I was following the tutorial on http://ethdocs.org/en/latest/network/test-networks.html#custom-networks-eth but the config file didn't worked. I wanted to pre-allocate some ethers to my account, but the command:
eth --private 12345 --genesis genesis.json --no-discovery
produced this error:
Unknown field in config: alloc
Although this field is mentioned in the ethdocs.
Thanks in advance

I need some help in understanding how.
Zebi.io works.! Technically..
It's a private blockchain on ethereum.
It's stores land titles & registries on blockchain..and retrieves whenever needed.!
How is this done.?
Thankx in advance

Hello, I cannot realize the "auto refill" of gas, I have tried it for days. But it doesn't work. I copied it from the website of Ethereum:
uint public minBalanceForAccounts;

function setMinBalance(uint minimumBalanceInFinney) onlyOwner {
     minBalanceForAccounts = minimumBalanceInFinney * 1 finney;
}

Then, add this line to the transfer function so that the sender is refunded:

/* Send coins */
function transfer(address _to, uint256 _value) {
    ...
    if(msg.sender.balance < minBalanceForAccounts)
        sell((minBalanceForAccounts - msg.sender.balance) / sellPrice);
}

Can someone help me? Thanks a lot in advance!

@qbig

difference with or without emit ?

/* Notify anyone listening that this transfer took place */
        Transfer(msg.sender, _to, _value);

and

/* Notify anyone listening that this transfer took place */
        emit Transfer(msg.sender, _to, _value);

@qbig
argh... got it.. emit is required for newer version of solidity..

Hello all
Can I store patient record on blockchain using smart contract.. I tried but it required huge amount of gas... Is any other way to do it.. and over come out of gas problem
Satyajit Deshmukh
@Jeet21
Please reply if anyone know this
phiferd
@phiferd
@Jeet21 probably not. Everything on the blockchain is readable by anyone, so I don't think you would want to put any patient info onto the blockchain. What sort of information (and how much) were you thinking of storing? For large objects, a common approach is to store a reference to the data that is actually stored somewhere else (e.g. a URL or an IPFS hash).

@Jeet21
I want store full patient record with his operation history , allergies , Medical problem etc..
Now I am trying with ipfs and etherum .. any tutorial or link to follow
On more problem .. how can I read transactions from block
Priyabrata Dash
@bobquest33
web3
for your address you can read
also ipfs is also may not be a full proof option .... for storing medical records
Satyajit Deshmukh
@Jeet21
So what will be the right option other than ipfs?
Priyabrata Dash
@bobquest33
depends on the scope of your application
Satyajit Deshmukh
@Jeet21
Still can u tell options so that I can explore more
check this answer this will give some idea

@Jeet21
