    could you go through a case example following this governance scheme?
    Mihai Alisie
    @MihaiAlisie
    I think a flowchart/visual representation of the process would help a lot and make it easier to understand.

    @shopnhowler
    so the shareholders and delegates all exist as part of nexus?
    smiley2015
    @smiley2015
    Nexus was going to provide a cushion from lack of liquidity by holding assets as collateral, Is this still happening? Will this just be done on chain now/ held by keeper?
    shopnhowler
    @shopnhowler
    yes we want you safe, rune!
    how are delegates (eight of them?) selected? I think I'm confused because they're determined by proportion of holding MakerCoin but MakerCoin holders are anonymous as possible?

    @all Hey everyone, I wont be able to hold the hangout tomorrow, but can do it on monday or another weekday. We have discovered some exciting and surprising new things regarding stablecoins and the best business model for a stablecoin
    so is there any preference for which day we do the hangout? Otherwise I will just choose a time and then basically do a youtube video that people can watch at their own convenience
    Rocky Fikki
    @rfikki
    Look forward to it, please advise as to the revised time and date
    Rune23
    @Rune23
    do you have any preference rfikki?
    Rocky Fikki
    @rfikki
    I prefer around 8pm - 10pm Eastern time
    smiley2015

    shopnhowler
    @shopnhowler

    so before I've talked about how I didn't like the name eDollar too much but couldn't think of anything better
    now I've come up with something that I might like more
    Jiao - named after the first paper currency ever
    it has a bunch of advantages, it's a short word that's unique and distinct, the name and the trading moniker is the same, and it already has an obvious choice for the currency symbol that most computers can display, δΊ€
    what do you guys think? I'm still not sure if its actually better than eDollar because it might be difficult to pronounce
    Jorge
    @jmiehau
    It is just my opinion, but I like eDollar
    It mixs Ethereum+Dollar, then eDollar. I can recognize and explain easily to others that it is a derivative of a fiat currency, backed by cryptography.
    Rune23
    @Rune23
    My main issue with it is that it's not unique enough. We are actually making a proper independent currency that is pegged to the dollar, but can be decoupled in the future if the dollar goes to shit
    if eDollar became widely successful we might regret not giving it a proper name, is my train of thought
    smiley2015
    @smiley2015
    It seems like the word dollar is an important psychological piece for people.
    I agree that "edollar" sounds a bit funny.
    I worry that people won't understand what jiao means and will gravitate towards something with the word dollar in it.
    smiley2015
    @smiley2015
    I think that something like ethDollar could work. Or something else that brings people back to the word Dollar.
    One of the most important aspects of bootstrapping this will be selling the idea of it to people.
    It helps to have a name that people can easily understand.
    Rune23
    @Rune23
    if thats the case then we should just stick with eDollar
    but im willing to sacrifice short term marketability for a long term recognizable brand
    so i'd really prefer to have a unique name
    but Jiao isnt necessarily good enough if its too difficult to pronounce
