    it has a bunch of advantages, it's a short word that's unique and distinct, the name and the trading moniker is the same, and it already has an obvious choice for the currency symbol that most computers can display, δΊ€
    what do you guys think? I'm still not sure if its actually better than eDollar because it might be difficult to pronounce

    @jmiehau
    It is just my opinion, but I like eDollar
    It mixs Ethereum+Dollar, then eDollar. I can recognize and explain easily to others that it is a derivative of a fiat currency, backed by cryptography.

    My main issue with it is that it's not unique enough. We are actually making a proper independent currency that is pegged to the dollar, but can be decoupled in the future if the dollar goes to shit
    if eDollar became widely successful we might regret not giving it a proper name, is my train of thought

    It seems like the word dollar is an important psychological piece for people.
    I agree that "edollar" sounds a bit funny.
    I worry that people won't understand what jiao means and will gravitate towards something with the word dollar in it.

    I think that something like ethDollar could work. Or something else that brings people back to the word Dollar.
    One of the most important aspects of bootstrapping this will be selling the idea of it to people.
    It helps to have a name that people can easily understand.

    @Rune23
    if thats the case then we should just stick with eDollar
    but im willing to sacrifice short term marketability for a long term recognizable brand
    so i'd really prefer to have a unique name
    but Jiao isnt necessarily good enough if its too difficult to pronounce
    IMO nubits have managed to position themselves as a stablecoin just fine with a random name

    @Rune23
    btw apologies that I havent made the diagrams of the delegates etc that I talked about. Our final design has increased the scope and complexity quite a bit (but with the benefit of a highly optimized business model / cash flow model) - so I simply don't know exactly how the permissions/delegate/dynasty will be implemented just yet

    @rfikki
    Simply call it Dalla.

    @oed
    Rune23: I like the new name, you could still display the price in USD in the ui maybe?
    Rune23
    @Rune23
    after much consideration I don't think jiao is good enough
    id still prefer a unique name, but jiao doesnt spring out as an obviously awesome name which is what i'd require for it to be worth it to make the switch from eDollar
    also eDollar isnt actually that bad even if it decouples from the USD and starts floating at some point
    it will just be another dollar among the many different dollars such as the singapore or canadian dollar
