With the model tool you can convert any models you want in the game into the existing format, so adding new formats and breaking compatibility more is not really needed

With dynamic models its most likely because the deluxemapping tech does not really handle dynamic objects

I know irrlicht.. The problem is not that I wouldn't know how to do normal mapping, the problem is that normal mapping requires dynamic lights
which the engine does not do, except in certain cases
