ok @IR4T4 , @mightykemon , @Mateos81 and others who joined the discussion about tga or png.
thx to IR4T4 I was able todo this testing much faster. what I did was taking the time on host game on fueldump map.
See and be amazed.. I was:
ETL 2.75

tga in etmain 00.30.84
png in etmain 00.47.44


tga in legacy folder 00.25.23
png in legacy folder 00.48.44

ETL 2.75 dirty build:

tga in etmain 00.25.07
png in etmain 00.45.69

tga in legacy folder 00.22.66
png in legacy folder 00.45.01

png is really bad on loading time
tga is a big winner here.. atleast on my machine

well it could also be that the compressed file actually loads faster?
the old school file :D

png is lossless compression, tga is uncompressed, but the engine should load it as is... not do some uncompression
