Hi, @ellipizle we did not try to deploy it to Netflify so can't suggest anything, sorry...
Hi Ever team, first of all, I would like to congratulate you on your great work, and putting this big project for open source community.
I am new to nests and node backend development, I have a few questions about the architecture of the project, 1. Why we are opening 4 ports for a single application(HTTP, https, GQL, GQL, subscription), were not two ports i.e HTTP and https good?
We are starting express server on port 5501, also in nestjs is wrapper around expressjs, is not it loading expressjs in memory twice?
can I user Ever in production?
for ecommerce multi vendor web app
Hi @shubhanshusingh our Platform is not released in v1 for now (it's in Alpha version), but of course, you can use it in production as long as you understand and accept that platform has multiple known and unknown bugs and missing features and have some developer(s) to improve it / fix it / adapt it for your business needs etc
You recommend a specific VPS to maintain the server going on?
Hi, nothing specific, except RAM size best to have 8Gb
why when i try to connect with other pc to the app show me server conection error
can be firewall or can be that you need to run API (server) with --host 0.0.0.0 parameter
hi is there any guide on how to make product builds and deploy on cloud server for ever?
Hi Umar, unfortunately no. However it's not different to any other NodeJs based project. You can use PM2 or Docker (or both)
is it even possible to edit .env file ?
i'm unable to find where would i change mongo's ip address
and the documentation seems "broken"
docker as well seems to be "broken"
Hi @SAFAD think I replied in Slack already, but you have .env.template (or .env.sample) files in relevant folders in our platforms. We don't have much of documentation online at the moment, sorry, WIP
hey guys, I am testing the desktop app but it doesn't work
did you wait some time? Because it initializes DB on first start and might take a while, depending on your PC CPU. Normally, should take like 30 sec or less
did you setup app with all default settings? I.e. SQLite etc?
can you check content of log file? If you on Windows, it's usually in C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\gauzy\logs\main.log
ok I will ask there
when is the release of stable version?
is the paid version in sync with the one in github?
Hi @sm2x sorry, we missed your message somehow. Both versions (community and commercial) are in sync. The difference is only licensing, not the code. We can't comment yet on the date of the stable version. What we are selling right now is essentially a right for you to take our code "as is", build something on top of it and not disclose your code changes. Otherwise, the free version will work well and you can modify it for your needs, improve and make it stable for your specific use cases. Let us know if you have more questions, would be glad to answer (and hopefully faster this time haha)!
