I have not been watching in real time, as I can't keep up with the copy and pasting 😆 Just got the point where I have run the k3s role. Gota take the dog for a walk now, but will be right back at it. I love this stuff.
Double reasons to be happy today, there will be a new episode of the Expanse to watch tonight.

I don't know if Max Rosin frequents this group, but many thanks to him and for his time. What great Live Streams he is producing every Wednesday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGI06xr2PYk

Thanks, I’ll forward it :) Make sure you checkout the other sessions too, I recommend HashiCorp Vault, Gitpod, Keptn. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL05JrBw4t0Kp1Gni9SyudMmXmBJIp7rIc

@tonka3000_gitlab I’ve now merged a CI rule for the pages:preview job. This prepares to switch the deployment to ‘main’ instead of ‘master’. everyonecancontribute/everyonecancontribute.gitlab.io@62e6dcd

Does anyone know if it's possible to login with keycloak-js using a refresh_token fetched from keycloak? I am trying to avoid using the keycloak login form while using Cypress for e2e testing

@ekeih can you remind me how to set the hcloud_token as an environment variable. I have tried export TF_hcloud_token=xxxxxxxxxxxx but I still get prompted for it when I run terraform plan
Simon Carr
@simonjcarr_gitlab
@ekeih Ignore me. It works OK in my VSCode terminal, just does not work in my zsh terminal. No worries.

I think it needs to bei TF_VAR_hcloud_token

Thank you.
Just tried to fetch kubeconfig. On my Mac it says skipping localhost, will this work on a MacBook?
Simon Carr

No worries fixed it.

@ekeih Another great session. Got everything working, so thanks very much. Until next time, I will play around with trying to integrate GitLab and see if I can get some deployments running.
@dnsmichi_gitlab Really like the idea of making this cluster a foundation for further experiments. It will help to provide a really solid understanding of how everything works together.

Show the merged version of .gitlab-ci.yml (with include and extends) is now merged to production, should be deployed soon: https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/246801#note_508034925 - if you find it, take a screenshot and tweet for 13.9 release evangelism :)

Follow-each-other will be merged to master soon. This is a huge social feature developed by Roger Meier from Siemens. Be on the look-out when you see it and tweet about it :) gitlab-org/gitlab!45451

Hey @ekeih ,

Looking back at last week and how fast the time was over, I don't think we will get more done than nginx ingress and cert-manager. But if you want to take the drivers seat next week and do a session about users and RBAC, that would be great :)

@ekeih Here’s a diff on the docs on only/except. Seems earlier it was “pre deprecated”, this is a state which is not defined, so it was reverted. https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/merge_requests/31468/diffs

@ekeih Thanks for this weeks video. Is there any chance you could push the code to GitHub. I must have gone wrong somewhere. I have managed to create a certificate, but it says it is not ready. Probably a typo, from trying to swivel chair from the YouTube video.
Simon Carr
@simonjcarr_gitlab
@ekeih @solidnerd_gitlab For some reason I can not get my certificate to be in the ready status. When I view the certificate in the browser, it says it is a Self Signed Certificate. When I describe my certificate, it has the following status
Status:
  Conditions:
    Last Transition Time:        2021-02-18T13:11:42Z
    Message: Issuing certificate as Secret does not exist

@ekeih Asked our CI team. There’s no plans to deprecate/remove only/except … it will co-exist with rules for now. The next deprecation/removal would have been 14.0 this year on May 22nd (adding this for completeness)

Yeah, sorry I forgot to push the code on Wednesday, but I think I did on Thursday or Friday :grimacing:
