@evhub Sorry I had it backwards. The example I meant to give was
{"name": name} = {"name": "john", "age": 30}. In another functional language I tried (ie. Elixir), it allowed to pattern match "name" only, and not issued an error about "age" not matching. I see this behavior can be helpful.
You are right, it's exactly the same thing covered in #267 .
