You don’t become a pen tester with a phone
zAnti is a cool tool, but nowhere close to enough
Maybe a chroot?

@dgramop
Or kali nethunter

If I'm performing SSL mitm for a server that's not running on port 443 is there a way to specify the port to lookup the certificate on instead? I'm currently getting around this by modifying the default port value in the spoof method in authority.rb but there's no port ever passed to it and I can't find the actual port since the hostname is looked up using SNI which doesn't contain the port

@YechiamTK
@BrainyBrian what would a chroot help me achive? And unfortunately, nethunter is an option only for nexus and op devices (I'm rocking a LG G3).. That's why I was looking for an app. And I know zAnti isn't close to pentesting, but I thought dsploit is.

Don't try and get any pen testing done with a phone
I am glad you are trying
But it just isn't that easy
You would be lucky to get things running on any arm device
PM me
And I can help u

does bettercap supports wifi hotspot sniff ? I mean that if I make AP from my laptop I'll be able to sniff on that card ?

@mehranexpert
i install on kali linux 2.0 with gem , when i run bettercap i got error
Miguel Luís
@mluis
@kubamielniczak I was trying that yesterday. AFAIK sniffing from the AP interface wont work as it messes up with the default GW. Albeit this I think it should be possible creating some sort of nat behind the actual upstream default gateway
let me know of your findings :-)

I have no idea what tempted be to change all of those http links. Most of them redirected to an https version.

I kind of wish bettercap wasn't so tied to a CLI application.
@evilsocket do you think it would be possible to decouple the bettercap "buisness logic" into a Ruby API of sorts; that way you ( or me, or we, or other people ) could build applications that are either Web APP, or CLI, or just using the Bettercap Ruby API to do MitM things.
Just a random thought. I can try and develop some sort of prototype.
I get you may not have time to do so / but, I can probably try and see how stupid I can write some Ruby code to make Bettercap ( or at least portions of bettercap? ) work. I dunno. Yolo swag on a biscuit.

Anybody know of a (dedicated) GUI for buttercap? I’m writing a new one, I don’t want to duplicate work

@picatz I didn’t read your post earlier… but I think I might be able to help with that

@BrainyBrian I just got a new job. So, I've been a lil' busy. Lemme know what you get goin.

I assume we'd have to build something like a real-time application in order to make things in a web app work.
We get a nice benefit of simply putting stuff to the command-line.
Makes that kind of stuff really easy. you just "puts" stuff to the screen.
In a web app, allowing deep-diving context and stuff like this, maybe even with graphs -- we may have to have some sort of DB backend. Redis, Mongo (lol)
Maybe something like https://www.pakyow.org/ could be interesting.

I just have to also stop getting distracted with other things lol

Hey, as soon as I run "bettercap --sniffer" I get a huge ruby error. It states stuff like "/usr/lib/ruby/2.3.0/openssl/ssl.rb:67: [BUG] Segmentation fault at 0.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
How can I fix this?

Is there a way to modify a TLS packet in transit with Bettercap?
For instance. I just want to modify the tls version number in a Server Hello packet. Tried finding an example with google but could not locate anything.

Hi Guys,
I wanted to know if bettercap has a feature that allows to view TLS handshake phase information (as Wireshark does), for example the Client Hello ?
