How is development logging typically handled? I see in the FAQ that it says to disable sending stuff to Exceptionless - is there still a way to get at errors if we do that?

oh, I thought you were mentioning for self hosted
we use two different projects for our apps
one that’s live and one thats not live
and we append [Dev] to the end of the name
then we just a compiler directive or #if DEBUG or we change out the config value with our deployment script

What if we have 12 developers working on the same project? :P
Wouldn't the dev project get really crowded? Or is there a way to filter to our machines individually?

You could filter out the machines with a search filter or use tags
There are always going to be tons of bugs in dev
so I’d almost just say put it in your dev staging environment and don’t log locally during development

What's the format of the payload you send in webhooks?

Looks like json

yeah, but it depends on the fields. Afaik there's no standard for that, and I don't know if it's possible to send directly to slack.
other question: when the angular http status interceptor reports status code 0, I think you get that when the server can't be reached, or are there other things that cause this?

ah thanks, that's useful
I'll write something that proxies it into slack, looks like you also have quite a bit of control over the formatting

@srijken can’t send directly to slack as slack only allows a single json property that takes a message.
@srijken it’s a json document that doesn’t ever change, webhooks are versioned
@srijken yes, you’ll get a server status code of 0 for multiple things, cors errors being one of them
I need to update how we redirect on status code 0 to check for the site status before redirecting
@laughinggoose Yes, you could use that. We also have code that we need to finish up on in a github issue for slack integration
@srijken There is a github issue for slack that already has all the proxy logic :)
let me know if you two need anything
I really want to get slack integrated
just performance takes priority right now
but getting really close

regarding Slack, what way would you like to solve that? Can either have something take the incoming json that you send out now and transform that to the single property, with some markup inside, or have a specific json format for slack?
oh there's already a gist with some implementation of the proxy idea
