did you figure it out
Sander Rijken
@srijken
Sep 22 2015 15:42
haven't looked into it yet
busy times
just spent way too much time with an angular library for password strength
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
Sep 22 2015 15:43
lol
yeah
I was thinking about doing that
Sander Rijken
@srijken
Sep 22 2015 15:43
it works fine, but it pulls in lodash, adding 100kB to my js build
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
Sep 22 2015 15:43
but didn’t really care to much
yeah, we use that too
Sander Rijken
@srijken
Sep 22 2015 15:43
well I don't use it, so it's a little heavy for just password checks
and they use 2 functions of it
one of them is either map or reduce (built-in in es5)
so I tried building it myself, but the build requires node-sass, and that's broken on my windows machine. So I reverted to my mac
and there I had an X-Code beta installed, so that didn't work either :S

lol
don’t you need ruby installed for sass?
Sander Rijken
@srijken
Sep 22 2015 15:46
python
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
Sep 22 2015 15:46
yeah
Sander Rijken
@srijken
Sep 22 2015 15:46
but I have that
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
Sep 22 2015 15:46
yeah by default on osx
which is what I run :)
wish vs code was better
wouldn’t even run windows
Sander Rijken
@srijken
Sep 22 2015 15:47
anyway, it's a lot of work just to get an indication of password strength
so I just removed the feature for now, mostly working on getting the gulpfile working as it should

@niemyjski
Sep 22 2015 15:47
good luck
Sander Rijken
@srijken
Sep 22 2015 15:47
oh, and then I found another one, but that one listed gulpfile.js as its "main"
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
Sep 22 2015 15:47
seems like everytime I have a build issue it takes a day or two
of wasted time
Sander Rijken
@srijken
Sep 22 2015 15:47
so that didn't really work either
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
Sep 22 2015 15:49
I tried converting our build over to gulp on the ui project
what a pita
I gave up
Sander Rijken
@srijken
Sep 22 2015 17:52
maybe I can give it a go.. after I'm finished with this
I mean, I first want to make sure I know what I'm doing :)
Sander Rijken
@srijken

almost have exceptionless compiling
we will get a new major out the door soon
We are seeing perf issues with foundatio across 3 apps right now
and exceptionless is one of them
basically we had worker loops that was doing a bunch of stuff in a tight loop and could cause peak cpu 24/7 in some worker jobs
we got rid of all of that so we should see huge wins right off the bat
so need to hurry this up
