@niemyjski
Do you think that will fix this issue
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
What does your web.config look like (api section)
<exceptionless....
Frank
@fduverger
I installed Exceptioless.Web via nuget as per docs
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
yes
but you need to configure the exceptionless configuration section to point to your new url.
Frank
@fduverger
I did something wrong?
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
otherwise it doesn't know where to report to cause it still thinks the servers located at http://localhost:50000
Frank
@fduverger
like this
<exceptionless apiKey="h2zKiWGGeNidrQVYNZNJViQwTWHtp39q5ouDwYfY" serverUrl="http://localhost/exceptionless" enableSSL="false" enableLogging="true" logPath="C:\exceptionless.log" />
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
but you changed this in the exceptionless solution
Frank
@fduverger
Sorry I don't get it
You are telling I shouldn't
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
that configuration section only tells the exceptionless solution to report any errors to a specific project.
you still need to update your adventure works project
because it doesn't know where the server is located
that configuration section (in the exceptionless solution) only tells the exceptionless to report any errors (that happen in the exceptionless solution) to a specific project .
Frank
@fduverger
I changed the exceptionless solution too
<exceptionless apiKey="Bx7JgglstPG544R34Tw9T7RlCed3OIwtYXVeyhT2" serverUrl="http://localhost/exceptionless" />
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
you need enableSSL=false there too
Frank
@fduverger
sorry I forgot that
ahh
What do you guys use this key?
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
no problem :) did that fix it
Frank
@fduverger
<add key="EnableSSL" value="false" />
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
that key is used to redirect all traffic to https
don't set it unless you have an ssl cert :)
Frank
@fduverger
hehe
ok
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
I'll add a comment for that
Frank
@fduverger
Swagger doesn't update the url to the new one. One has to do it manually
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
what do you mean
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
for the link on the homepage
?
Frank
@fduverger
no
the input in this url http://localhost/exceptionless/docs/index with the api doc
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
can you log that on our issue tracke
Frank
@fduverger
of course
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
Thanks :)
Frank
@fduverger
On github right?
does the adventure works app work?
Frank
@fduverger
no
:(
It is not logging exceptions now
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
but your getting log messages?
Frank
@fduverger
the ui is not showing log messages anymore. I guess is not finding the server
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
open the f12 tools and see if there are request errors
