Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
should log a feature usage on all this stuff and even see how much it’s being used
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
@BillHenning obviously this needs a lot of styling.. But I wanted your feedback before I start on the layout

Kinda think I should have three rows
with labels
but then again do they really need labels?
Bill Henning
@BillHenning
this kicks in at small width?
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
yes
only on mobile
Bill Henning
@BillHenning
hmm, could you make the top row go full width and make the cols like 50% with ellipses if there's text overflow in them?
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
not sure on overflow...
but yeah I could make it a single row with 50 50
could probably do overflow with css
Bill Henning
@BillHenning
two row like that would probably look good (filter in bottom row)
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
ok
I’ll work on that and then let you know when I’m done :)
ty
Bill Henning
@BillHenning
sure
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
@BillHenning still need styling (rounded corners.. padding.. etc.. ) but like this
Screen Shot 2016-03-21 at 11.33.09 AM.png
don’t really like how the text is being centered :(
Bill Henning
@BillHenning
yeah not sure centering will work
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
or do you want those to be individual boxes?
Eric J. Smith
@ejsmith
what does that look like when it gets expanded?
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
pretty sweet
Screen Shot 2016-03-21 at 11.35.51 AM.png
Bill Henning
@BillHenning
yeah go with that! :)
Eric J. Smith
@ejsmith
yeah, you are making this hard on yourself… if you use the norma header dropdowns then it will work automatically.
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
sigh
it’s not really a navbar on mobile tho
it’s in a container
Eric J. Smith
@ejsmith
it changes it for you automatically.
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
yeah I get that
sigh
Eric J. Smith
@ejsmith
we are kind of going against the grain with doing the normal dropdowns in the header, but I like those, so we have to figure how to make them render the same as the default header dropdowns in mobile.
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
trying to reuse the code that’s there
not rewrite everything
Eric J. Smith
@ejsmith
@BillHenning what do you think of the desktop header? https://dev-app.exceptionless.io/type/error/dashboard
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
btw been watching this in the background
next ui rewrite in 1-2 years is going to use rx
or down the road :)
Bill Henning
@BillHenning
desktop header looking good... only thing i don't like is that if i type in a filter and tab off, nothing updates for a few seconds... no "updating filter" message either
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
your against dev
which is slow
probably should have a loading mask of some kind tho
but yeah
Bill Henning
@BillHenning
random observation... the user icon in the top right of the desktop header has a white border around it that makes it stand out a lot... might look better toned down a bunch
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
nice catch
