@niemyjski
wonder what’s going to be in 5.0 that’s breaking from 2.3
Eric J. Smith
@ejsmith
Think they are just removing some deprecated stuff
Just need to make sure we aren't using those things.
Update by query could be used for a bunch of stuff in Exceptionless
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
so with the bash stuff
apt-get install redis
so they added support for running native linux code?
yeah
really speed up things even more :)
exceptionless/Foundatio@74be37a
was an issue I saw earlier
it caused a second exception to be thrown from the catch block
Eric J. Smith
@ejsmith
Yep would be pretty awesome
Pretty positive response
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
yeah!
kinda excited
finally can use official redis packages on windows!
just wonder about perf and all of that
Eric J. Smith
@ejsmith
they said it’s not 100% compat yet, but getting close.
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski

@ejsmith looks like the .net blog helped a bit
have a few new issues for foundatio :)
Eric J. Smith

exceptionless/Foundatio#34
dang
so cool reading about that kind of stuff
would be cool to work on research projects like that
writing code to detect users through a wall using wifi signals
crazy
Foundatio trending
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
:)
Blake Niemyjski
@niemyjski
whelp that kind of sucks
they changed github a bit over night
went to go update a readme and I can only update it via pull request and all tests must pass before merging
which is good except it’s a dam readme
Eric J. Smith
@ejsmith
Yeah, I changed that.
Might be too aggressive.

Programmatic cut and copy to the clipboard
It’s now possible to programmatically copy and cut text in response to a user gesture with document.execCommand('copy') and document.execCommand('cut'). Having this ability may eliminate some websites’ last need for the Flash plug-in.
DANG
running safari 9.1 that ships with 10.11.4 is 53% on https://kangax.github.io/compat-table/es6/
that safari preview that was released yesterday is 98%
more than any other browser out there
