@alexpenadev what's the question you have?
Alexander Pena
@alexpenadev
I can't get it to run on my machine I downloaded the source but still cant get it to run.
Victor Goff
@kotp
Is there a message that comes back when you attempt to run it? I have some time... I will DM you to my "Office Hours" link..
Victor Goff
@kotp
Quick thoughts though are that the executable is not in the $PATH, which may be done by putting the executable into ~/bin. You will then need to do the token configuration.
Alexander Pena
@alexpenadev
@kotp thanks really appreciate the help
Just moved from mac to linux
So i would just copy it to the bin/
Victor Goff
@kotp
To your home folder bin directory, which may or may not exist yet. But once it exists, I belive Debian flavored linux distributions do give you that in your path if it exists.
You may have to open a new terminal to test it out.
Otherwise you can add at the bottom of your shell rc file (which may be ~/.bashrc) the line: export PATH=~/bin:$PATH

@alexpenadev
Ok cool will try that gonna delete it and start form scratch

Hello. Having trouble with exercism tab completion in zsh: can't get it working.
I'm using oh my zsh, ubuntu 19.10
I have the completions #compdef exercism script saved to .oh-my-zsh/completions/_exercism
and .oh-my-zh/completions is on $fpath
Barry Penner
@skytwosea
grep -i exercism does not find anything in the completions caches .zcompdump or .zcompdump-(user)
this issue is like that little bit of popcorn that gets wedged between back molars in the middle of a good movie... totally friggin distracting

Argh, sorry, meant to edit and posted by mistake
Hi, I'm having trouble when setting up exercism.
After entering the command:
exercism configure --token=[omitting my token]
I get this error message:
Error: mkdir /home/rustam/.config/exercism: permission denied

Sorry if this is a silly question!

NobbZ Make sure ~/.config and subfolders are owned by you.

Hmm, the ~/.config folder is owned by me I think.
"drwxrwxr-x 29 rustam rustam 4096 Mar 28 21:55 .config
"
result of ls -al | grep .config
@matrixbot Creating a subfolder in the ~/.config directory by hand using the command "mkdir testfolder" seems to work
But now I get the error message "Error: open /home/rustam/.config/exercism/user.json: permission denied
"

@rusant10_twitter
As far as I understand I own the folder ~/.config/exercism/
