    @halfluck
    @vedranius no it needs SD card to run fanghacks
    vedranius
    @vedranius

    @halfluck so no way to transfer it to camera itself? :/

    Also, do you know is there a way to change bitrate and resolution of the camera?
    And is it possible to turn on the time and date stamp?

    Thanks!

    vedranius
    @vedranius
    @samtap thanks!
    How do you enable those scripts? Via SSH?
    Can't find the login username, what is it? Tried with the hostname iSmartAlarm but it won't go through. Pass is ismart12 ? or?
    PatrickM
    @samtap
    root
    vedranius
    @vedranius

    @samtap tnx :D Not sure why I didn't tried that... weird :P Typing it almost every day. lol

    Tell me, enabling these hacks is via SSH?

    So for example, if I want to add a timestamp I'd just send this command via SSH:
    "snx_isp_ctl --osdset-en 1 --osdset-ts 1 --osdset-template 1234567890./-:Date --osdset-gain 2 --osdset-bgtransp 0x1 --osdset-bgcolor 0x000000"

    Ty!

    PatrickM
    @samtap
    you should add it in a startup script to make it persistent after reboots
    vedranius
    @vedranius

    @samtap
    so, best way is to directly add to SD card, not SSH?
    What I need to do with "snx_isp_ctl" file? Where to put it?
    Which script (name?) I need to edit and is this correct? https://github.com/fritz-smh/yi-hack/issues/118#issuecomment-273896219

    I'm not sure if I'm getting this correctly, but that guy (debuti) says that it needs to go to RTSP server folder...? Huh, :confused: :P

    PatrickM
    @samtap
    I think it's in the test folder, as I added it last minute before preparing the image
    you can move it to /usr/bin on the sdcard so you can run it from anywhere
    then probably it's easiest to edit the rtsp server script, adding the snx_isp_ctl commands you need before the server is started
    vedranius
    @vedranius
    @samtap is there any "repository" with already made sample scripts with for example 720p RTSP stream etc.?
    Or you could make some defaults mostly used?
    Let's say 1080p, max 4Mbps, timestamp, med motion detection, is that possible to do in one script?
    also, for some reason I don't have these folders on SD card, only default from fang hack, record, bootstrap and time_lapse folders. Hm?
    PatrickM
    @samtap
    there's a data partition you can't read on windows, that's why most people use ssh to change stuff while sdcard is mounted in cam
    you can simply change the rtsp server script to modify parameters like resolution and bitrate
    vedranius
    @vedranius
    Oh, ok, will try via SSH then.
    vedranius
    @vedranius
    @samtap in what folder is the rtsp server script? And what is the filename of it?
    image.png
    @samtap would this be correct, to change this script?
    PatrickM
    @samtap
    yep
    vedranius
    @vedranius
    thanks @samtap :)

    @samtap tell me, where should I put the code for timestamp and where to put that snx file? In the same folder, or?

    Should I just paste the code under the code running rtsp server?
    "snx_isp_ctl --osdset-en 1 --osdset-ts 1 --osdset-template 1234567890./-:Date --osdset-gain 2 --osdset-bgtransp 0x1 --osdset-bgcolor 0x000000"

    like this?
    image.png
    PatrickM
    @samtap
    in the start function above snx_rtsp_server
    vedranius
    @vedranius
    @samtap so like this?
    image.png
    PatrickM
    @samtap
    yep looks good to me
    vedranius
    @vedranius
    and what about that snx file?
    PatrickM
    @samtap
    snx_isp_ctl? copy it to /media/mmcblk0p2/data/usr/bin
    vedranius
    @vedranius
    and right now I'm in /media/mmcblk0p2/data/etc/scripts
    so with that line of code in "vi", will it find snx_isp_ctl file without the full path?
    PatrickM
    @samtap
    not if you don't copy it ;)
    vedranius
    @vedranius
    ;)
    PatrickM
    @samtap
    you could also add that test folder to PATH by changing /media/mmcblk0p2/data/etc/profile
    vedranius
    @vedranius
    works fine now!
    Tho, I'm trying to change the time zone now.
    What to do if I'd like to change it to UTC+1?
    Via "status" page? Or?
    image.png
    @samtap
    vedranius
    @vedranius
    awesome! Thanks! :)
    ansco11
    @ansco11
    @vedranius A slow SD card may not be able to keep up with the output fro the camera's video encoder.
    vedranius
    @vedranius

    @samtap hey! Camera works great, and quality at the good light (day) is fine!

    I wanted to ask you, is it possible to run FFMpeg as streaming software to for example RTMP service like YouTube?
    So that it just "copy" stream and push it to RTMP without second encoding.

    Thanks! :)

    PatrickM
    @samtap
    should be possible but I haven't tried it
    vedranius
    @vedranius
    is FFMpeg already enabled on the camera?
    PatrickM
    @samtap
    there's a build on the sdcard but I'm not sure if it supports rtmp
    vedranius
    @vedranius
    if I run the script, will it work?
    Also, what would be the best way to push the stream from the camera itself?
    Just to push the RTSP stream with it's own IP? for example rtsp://@:554/unicast ? or?
    PatrickM
    @samtap
    that's for you to figure out
    I've included an example script for HLS you can probably adapt it to output RTMP
