@danielpradeep: yup. and it's easy because the instances don't have to know about each other. set up multiple instances, then configure your backend to publish data to all of the instances

@jkarneges Thanks for your reply. Here is the scenario, there are 2 apache server instances serving API clients behind an Amazon Elastic Load Balancer and I am trying to introduce Pushpin (cluster) between the API clients and the ELB.
@jkarneges Is it best a practice for a production setup?

@danielpradeep we have not done much testing with ELB yet. however you can probably put pushpin behind it as long as your connections are busy enough (or you send keep alive packets)
a best practice would be to use haproxy as the load balancer with long timeouts. this is what we use for fanout cloud
