#276 The first time I installed fabricator I used the documentation steps, which uses the Yeoman generator-fabricator. It installed version 1.2.2. However, looking at the github repo it now has version 1.3.0. Has the generator been updated? Or how do I upgrade from version 1.2.2 to 1.3.0 without loosing all the changes I have made to the gulp file and the fact that I added bootstrap.
Luke Askew
@LukeAskew
The generator hasn't been updated in a while, and will not be updated in the future.
No way to update Fabricator without losing the gulpfile changes since its really just a starter kit
Daniel MV
@danmv
@LukeAskew thanks for the quick reply. I think the documentation files should be update because it refers back to the generator to get started. :smile:

Hey Luke I was trying to include angular in fabricator and I noticed that the binding {{}} is being removed when building. Any way to avoid this?

I was just testing and added this: <h1>{{hello}}</h1>

<input type="text" name="" id="" ng-model="hello"> but the output looks like this <h1></h1>

<input type="text" name="" id="" ng-model="hello">

Hello Everyone,
Got a Problem,
I renamed my entry point toolkit.scss. When I start the server it sill tries to load a toolkit.css. The generated imports are wrong. I can't find a place to rename the *.css it implants into the index.html.
Can someone help?
DavidKogan
@DavidKogan
I want to change the entrypoint of the fabricator from toolkit.css to bar.css
DavidKogan
@DavidKogan
the same with the javascrips I need on the page. I want to have for example bootstrap.js and bootstrap.css separately
Rob Lloveras
@Sensiblemnd
Hey @DavidKogan take a look at this build I made for myself using bootstrap. https://github.com/Sensiblemnd/fabricator-bootraps-es6

Hi

Is it possible to write front matter into a material AND override this with data in a .yml file? E.G. so my material is listed with default data in components, but can be overridden in a template, page or view?

The problem I am having is that if i write data as Front Matter into the top of the material file the component appears with the same content everywhere. If I delete the Front Matter the material listed in components is empty, and only populated on the pages and views.

Hi all, in fabricator-assemble, when i want to show the favicon, i can put the link mark in default.html, or in gulpfile.js the route to the favicon?,

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="../../fv-favicon.ico">

or

gulp.task('favicon', function () {
return gulp.src('./src/fv-favicon.ico')
.pipe(gulp.dest(config.dest))
})

Grant Bunyan
@grantbunyan
Sorry, newbie question, but is there a relatively easy way to inspect built data to aid in debugging?
Fernando Herrera
@fernyherrera
@grantbunyan you can log to the console. I don't recall exact syntax but I think it's like {{ log [context]}}
Grant Bunyan
@grantbunyan
Thanks @fernyherrera
Out of curiosity, what are people moving to for new projects, given that fabricator seems to have been 'abandoned', as mentioned here?
Karl Schwaier
@karlschwaier
@grantbunyan I moved to Pattern Lab https://patternlab.io and I also tried Fractal https://fractal.build.

I wonder if there is a way to add components "search" feature to the fabricator?!
