@prudhomm
@/all CSM is now more or less fixed, there remains some issues with the TOC, chapter 1 and 2 should be merged for example
I will show this in about an hour to the MSO4SC Barcelone meeting
if some of you can have a look and make suggestions ...
Vincent Chabannes
@vincentchabannes
@prudhomm thanks for the images. I will finish the math issues and try to merge chapter 1 and 2
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
@vhuber we will have to fix all this for FSI. the images are also missing, this will be fixed soon
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
@/all a new version of the Feel++ Book with a new organisation of the toolboxes list. There are also some new chapters in the math framework on advection diffusion reaction equation(ADR) as well as the proof the convergence of the finite element method. There are still some missing bits in the ADR part), it should be finished soon
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
@/all new version of the book, essentially cosmetic and under the hood. the HDG (by @dprada85 ) and CRB (empty for now) are now showing up. Also the asciidoctor extensions such as asciidoctor-bibtex are now properly configured, see e.g. here
Trophime
@Trophime
which kind of extensions do you use for creating graphs (plots) within asciidoc?
Guillaume Dollé
@gdolle
@prudhomm I think you forget to push the file math/fem/macros.tex
Trophime
@Trophime
do any of you have an idea how to properly define character with accent in asciidoc like é
Guillaume Dollé
@gdolle
I guess you have to set your text editor with utf8 encoding.
prj-
@prj-
There is a dead link here, with a reference to the non-existing document http://book.feelpp.org/07-quickref/spaces.adoc
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
@prj- thx for the report I will look at this. feel free to add an issue on the book so that I don’t forget it ;)
Guillaume Dollé
@gdolle
@prudhomm it seems there the file math/fem/macros.tex is missing and the stylesheet (for index.html, stylesheets/custom.css) seems not up to date, I'have blank background from my side. :)
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
I forgot about that. Issue on github.com? I will try to do ASAP
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
@/all thanks to the nice artwork and javascript skills of @gdolle we have nice/cool book covers for our manuals :)
Screenshot 2017-04-14 09.23.36.png
and also major new version of the books should land within the next week !

It seems that Mathjax makes big html quite slow. Splitting them into several html files could be a solution to enhance performances.
It seems there're already some works on asciidoctor side for page splitting out of the box via chunk options,
see here asciidoctor/asciidoctor#626
chifaadahik
@chifaadahik
hello, there is a small sign mistake in the mathematics of feelpp , in the part "convection dominated flows" , in this part : http://book.feelpp.org/math/fem/#variational-formulation,I guess it should be + beta ... instead of minus , it' s nothing, it's just not well copied from the equation-I guess
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
@gdolle indeed for the math book it is quite slow and there is this also to be understood
@chifaadahik thanks for the report this is fixed. http://book.feelpp.org/math/fem/#variational-formulation
PhilippeRicka
@PhilippeRicka
In user manual , 12.9 Strong Formulation, I think integral signs have to be removed in the second equation.
Also, the link in 12.7 to advanced informations about function spaces seems to be broken.
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
@PhilippeRicka thx could you add the link please ? or even add an issue here https://github.com/feelpp/book.feelpp.org/issues ?
to add a link [the link](https://github.com/feelpp/book.feelpp.org/issues)
PhilippeRicka
@PhilippeRicka
Sorry, I forgot. 12.9 Strong formulation & 12.7 function spaces
I'm not sure this is bad enough to add an issue :)
Guillaume Dollé
@gdolle
@PhilippeRicka Add an issue all the same otherwise we will forget ;)
PhilippeRicka
@PhilippeRicka
done !
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
@gdolle I updated the http://book.feelpp.org web site with your PR. it looks good on firefox and safari but there are some trouble with chrome. is it a problem with my version or do you have it too ?
Ok this is a cache problem. If I use an incognito window it is all good. any ways to invalidate the caches in the browser ?
@gdolle There are still some issues with the covers (need to reload sometimes to get the covers properly)
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
@/all Improved look of the http://book.feelpp.org thx to @gdolle + start supercomputer usage manuals
@victorsndvg @gdolle started a page on using Feel++ @ CESGA. It would be nice to complete it. What do you think ?
the page is here
Guillaume Dollé
@gdolle
yes they are still some issues that I'll fix. It seems to be some syntax color issues that I don't have locally. I'll look into that tomorrow
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
I started to reorganized the book to avoid clutter at the toplevel + fixed various things
Guillaume Dollé
@gdolle
@prudhomm ok I'll look for some fix and about the cache issue
Guillaume Dollé
@gdolle
@prudhomm Just a question, to put the book online you do it by hand ? or it's auto from merge ?
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
By hand
It will be auto with buildkite soon
Guillaume Dollé
@gdolle
ok :+1:
@prudhomm I remember the soft I used for ftp, it was curlftpfs to mount the ftp as a directory, then rsync inside the mounted directory.
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
Ok thx
Guillaume Dollé
@gdolle
@prudhomm I clean a little bit the book and reorganize dirs. I added css busting cache, we'll see if it works, see PR feelpp/book.feelpp.org#19
Still some css to fix (very soon) ^^
Christophe Prud'homme
@prudhomm
