Hi @ctrueden and @hinerm, I'm getting errors (on Mac OSX Yosemite) after getting updates from the Java-8 update site: running from GUI shows splash screen, then quits.
Running from command line:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: fiji/Main

@imagejan in your directory, can you see what version of scijava-common you have?
@imagejan did you have any other update sites enabled besides ImageJ, Fiji, Java-8?
also what version of imagej.jar do you have? (should be 2.0.0-rc-45. scijava-common should be 2.52.1)

thx, @hinerm, it was scijava-common that was locally modified in my installation since the Konstanz hackathon :smile:

BTW, I first thought it was the updater and deleted ij-updater.jar. Now running Help > Update Fiji to get bootstrap.js doesn't work (TypeError: Cannot call undefined in <eval> at line number 1), also the old wiki advice point to a non-existent Fix_Updater.js.
I got it fixed now, but we should reconsider the troubleshooting guidelines :)
