@skalarproduktraum @ctrueden thanks! I could have Scenery has a dependency.
But now the question: how to start? Is there any doc for java devel?

There's an example in the repo, and you can also check out kephale/ThreeDViewer

The Kotlin examples in the repo also translate to Java pretty well. See TexturedCubeJavaExample and TexturedCubeExample
Oh and some of the examples need some model files... I'll post a link in a few minutes

Ok I checked a bit things around and for the moment @kephale 's ThreeDViewer does not compile with the 1.0.0-SNAPSHOT of scenery made available on the nexus,
II wonder now: I want to basically display balls and lines into an existing 3d viewer for end-users. Should I make it from scenery, or use the ThreeDViewer? What is your opinion?

for the moment you could stick with scenery, and as soon as threedviewer matures, move over to get the imagej’y features threedviewer will provide
as threedviewer still exposes scenery’s scene descriptions, this should be possible then with next to no effort
and here are the models for the examples: https://cloud.mpi-cbg.de/index.php/s/wFgWctbwa2PoiU3 — i’ll link them in the repo as soon as i’ve disentangled the copyrights :D
ah and for the models, extract them in some directory and when you run the examples, set the env var SCENERY_DEMO_FILES to that directory

@tinevez: what does threedviewer complain about at the moment?
or wait, i’ll quickly clone it
@tinevez are you also getting the error about ArcballCameraControl missing?

okay, found it — change the version of scenery in the pom from 1.0-SNAPSHOT to 1.0.0-SNAPSHOT

@tinevez there was actually a missing package name in one of the classes, sorry about that, i fixed this now and the new versions are up on the nexus
https://github.com/skalarproduktraum/ThreeDViewer here’s a fixed ThreeDViewer version as well
one issue might still be there — theres a openvr.jar in the scenery repo that needs to be installed manually, in case you get an error about openvr follow the instructions in the scenery repo — sorry about the inconvenience
i’ll be on vacation from this afternoon on with occasional access to email, @kephale has a very good understanding of scenery and will probably be able to help from monday on :+1:
