my travis jobs seem to fail recently, with “maximum log length exceeded” — is anyone else seeing this?

@skalarproduktraum Sure, I have seen that before.
To fix it, you have to reduce the number of lines being logged. ;-)
The major ways that I exceeded the log length in the past were: A) verbose output about all the Maven dependencies being downloaded; and B) verbose output about all the Javadoc files being generated.
In both cases, I came up with workarounds/improvements to the build scripts, which I'd be happy to share if your problems are similar.

@ctrueden yeah, it looks like the “hey, let me give you a list of everything i’m downloading” issue… it’d be great if you could share a fix :)

@skalarproduktraum Here is one way to do it: scijava/scijava-scripts@4c344d4

Probably less hacky (!) to run some simple mvn -B -q dependency:resolve command first, and then do all your normal stuff afterward.
But setting the Slf4jMavenTransferListener to warn works too... with the side effect that it also won't fully report what it's uploading later.

@ctrueden just using batch mode seems to have solved the woes, thank you!

The -B mainly suppresses the colors... I'd be concerned it may not be enough in future, but if it's working for now, I guess that's fine.
