    @finnp
    haha
    however if someone would use double ` it would break again
    Michael Ennen
    @brcolow
    heh, lame.
    Finn Pauls
    @finnp
    ``finn``
    that is using three ` and a space xD
    Michael Ennen
    @brcolow
    lmao
    maybe you could check how many ` the name contains
    and then decide to surround with N+1 or something, lol
    or just whatever, its not a serious issue hehe
    Finn Pauls
    @finnp
    yeah that would be a way to go. it would only need to count consecutive ticks though
    if you want to create a PR feel free to do so :)
    I created an issue for this: finnp/gitter-irc-bot#23
    Michael Ennen

    finnp it would be so great if gitter actually supported bot users like in slack
    Duncan Ogilvie
    @mrexodia
    @finnp why not go irc style and simply use <username>?
    Duncan Ogilvie
    @mrexodia
    anyone here has advice how to run gitter-irc-bot on startup with ubuntu?
    im far too lazy to write a service and all that
    Matthias Günther
    @wikimatze
    Hi there
    dat-irc-bot
    @dat-irc-bot
    wikimatze I've used this solution to sync gitter and the irc channel for #padrino
    wikimatze I updated to 1.5.1 and now my bot doesn't appear in the channel.
    wikimatze What could be the error?
    Matthias Günther
    @wikimatze
    You can see my settings under http://awesomescreenshot.com/0cf5mp5lbb - the token with the stars is the one I get from https://developer.gitter.im/apps under the point "Token"
    Matthias Günther
    @wikimatze
    If i seet the variables in var opts = {...} and run npm start on my machine, it works, but that doesn't work with heroku!
    Matthias Günther
    @wikimatze
    There is a compilation error on heroku!
    When I run the app locally it works
    Matthias Günther
    @wikimatze
    When uploading a new app, I get the following error:

    Can somebody revalidate this behavior on heroku?
    Duncan Ogilvie
    @mrexodia
    @wikimatze you need to set the environment variables
