@Smooth5262
i do not, sorry. i just started learning it last week.

@JC5
from within a docker container, 127.0.0.1 will always point to the docker container itself, no exceptions
from your own machine, this is also the case, except for different ports, which can point to docker containers also
so in FIDI, 127.0.0.1 will always point to FIDI itself. only port 8080 would work but its pointless since your pointing back to FIDI
if you wish to point to FF3 from FIDI you can usually use either the IP (despite different subnets) or the name of the container
Smooth5262
@Smooth5262
Thanks! I was also able to connect it using the address you provided but also going into portainer selecting the FIDI container and changing the network to firefly_default network instead of bridge network.
ok thank you for the detailed response! i will keep learning about these.

Got a strange error with the importer and docker - for some reason it doesnt like me passing in NORDIGEN_ID and NORDIGEN_KEY as env vars?
running fireflyiii/data-importer:version-0.9.15
if I omit them as env vars and paste the values into the web page when the importer starts it works
James Cole
@JC5
Portainer, by any chance?
Ben Rometsch
@dabeeeenster
no docker desktop for mac
James Cole
@JC5
mm not sure then. What doesn't it like about you passing the vars, exactly?
Ben Rometsch
@dabeeeenster
not sure - wasnt sure if there were changes made at the importer end - will try and do more digging
I have a script I use to run the importer and it has stopped working
getting production.ERROR: "Bearer <token>\" is not valid header value at /var/www/html/vendor/guzzlehttp/psr7/src/MessageTrait.php:261)
James Cole
@JC5
mmm, my own importer is still running fine
did that literally say <token>\?
Ben Rometsch
@dabeeeenster
no - I removed my oauth token
James Cole
@JC5
did you add quotes to the token in your .env file?
Ben Rometsch
@dabeeeenster
no
I dont have an env file - I'm running the importer just with docker run

:thumbsup:
Let me try and diagnose a bit further first
huh odd it started working again - not sure what happened there
apologies!
James Cole
@JC5
no problem, glad to see it works!

Hello all. firefly noob here with an issue that is probably fairly simple, but that I just can't wrap my head around. I'm following the docker-compose method with core:latest, but when am getting an error about the firefly user not have access to the db. I've checked both my .env and compose file and the passwords are the same in both. I even tore the container down and reinstalled using the default password, same deal. There are a couple posts I've found with similar issues but they're pretty old and I wasn't able to make any progress following them. Anyone have thoughts?

I updated to the latest version of the dataimporter. Now its reimporting transactions that were already in my firefly db.. so it duplicated everything
BerghsJelmer
@BerghsJelmer
I removed all the transactions, when importing everything back, alot of transactions get imported twice..

you can clearly see it here ^

I checked with nordigen, it seems like they send it twice. so no issue with firefly importer
this is the json file from nordigen:

2 transactions, but everything is the same, except from one extra field in the lower one
i thought the importer would flag this as a duplicate tho, and not import it?

Is it possible to specify a unique identifier when importing through nordigen? my bank uses a unique reference for every transaction. (i see its possible when importing through CSV)

How should I go about debugging the (apparent, just started experimenting with Firefly) mapping from the field creditorName from Nordigen import to the destination account in Firefly? It seems to be importing some of the names, but for some it uses name from other transactions. The names seemed to be correct in the importer's mapping UI.

Hello there! I've just installed firefly with firefly-iii-automation but to use the application i've to use ip//firefly-iii/public/ and i think this is not safe and could be a problem about che data importer because when i click on csv button only reload the page.
Anyone already had this issue?

Hi, I am trying to install firefly using docker on a windows machine. I have docker and mysql all installed and configured. I was able to run the "docker volume create firefly_iii_upload" command to create the volume, but when I proceed to run the docker run command I get an error "Invalid Reference Format". Using the following docker run command (edited to obfuscate personal details): "docker run -d -v firefly_iii_upload:/var/www/html/storage/upload -p 80:8080 -e APP_KEY=My2CharStringKey -e DB_HOST=machinehostname -e DB_PORT=3306 -e DB_CONNECTION=mysql \ -e DB_DATABASE=fireflyiii -e DB_USERNAME=root -e DB_PASSWORD="notmyrealpassword" fireflyiii/core:latest"

are there any instructions specifically tailored for setup within a windows environment?
nvm, I see it now... I still had a \ in the command string

Hey! I don't really use cash at all, and only use my debit card. How can I make it so my Balance on my homepage shows cash + debit card balance. Also, I put the debit card as a credit card in the settings, should i put that as something else?
