    what do we do about hosting the demo app as github pages?
    Harsh Bhikadia
    @daadu_gitlab
    gh-pages branch is setup to be hosted as github pages
    i have requested for github pages settings fluttercommunity/community#55
    once done, need to write a small github action that updated gh-pages branch when anything is pushed to master
    updates*
    you can check it in my fork version right now, https://daadu.github.io/backdrop/

    Hi there,
    I couldn’t find pop or push navigator functions.
    Doesn’t it still exist?
    And how should I do?
    Felix
    @WieFel
    @k3ntar0 I suppose you refer to "opening/closing" the backdrop?
    this can be done with by calling revealBackLayer() or concealBackLayer(). Hope this helps
    Or are you talking about pushing a new route?
    Guilherme Santos
    @gjstos
    I think he's talking about pushing a new route. Since using a dynamic frontLayer from the backLayer will only change the "body" and not the "appBar", as a default push would do.
    Harsh Bhikadia
    @daadu_gitlab

    @k3ntar0 we do not support Navigator functions, to push to FrontLayer.

    But I think it is a good idea to implment nested Navigator, and exposing it with Backdrop.of(context).navigator

    @WieFel what do you think

    ?
    I guess Navigator.of will also work, if called with BuildContext of a widget that is below the frontLayer widget
    since widget.frontLayer will be wrapped with Navigator
    Felix
    @WieFel
    @daadu_gitlab I'm not so experienced with Navigator etc.
    What would be the advantages of implementing this?
    Harsh Bhikadia
    @daadu_gitlab
    user can push widget to frontLayer
    @k3ntar0 Can you explain what is the exact use case?
    Harsh Bhikadia
    @daadu_gitlab
    but I guess user can implment him self nested navigator if he wants, with frontLayer

    Hello everyone. Does the backdrop support open/close swipe gesture? I ran a basic example, but gesture doesn't seem to work, only opening with the burger button
    Felix
    @WieFel
    @proninyaroslav no, it doesn't support gestures out of the box. But I suppose you could implement it by using GestureDetector. Maybe try wrapping BackdropScaffold with GestureDetector.

    @proninyaroslav gesture to revealBackLayer is not recommened by MDG
    Tap on frontLayer, when backLayer is revealed, will concealBackLayer
    Harsh Bhikadia
    @daadu_gitlab
    @proninyaroslav I worked the on the fix (for issue with AnimatedSize) in fluttercommunity/backdrop#57
    Please review and test it

    Hi guys.. just a question. There is a way to map the backdrop open/close status to do some "extra" action? for example I need to change appbar text background color when backdrop open.. is it possible?
    Guilherme Santos
    @gjstos
    @asterd I personally use onBackLayerConcealed and onBackLayerRevealed to change a control variable, and from there through some state management to change the title widget
    Aster
    @asterd
    @gjstos thanka
    Thanks a lot
    I have another question.. how can I correctly set a safearea inside backdrop scaffold but with a top widget with backgrround image that goes under action and system bar?
    Guilherme Santos
    @gjstos
    @asterd I think that FlexibleSpaceBar should resolve ur issue. But I'm not sure, as I've never used it before

    Hey guys, is there any way of changing the frontLayer with Backdrop.of(context)? If not is there any way of changing it?? This would help me a lot.
    Harsh Bhikadia
    @daadu_gitlab
    what do you mean by change?
    you can do that with StatefulWidget and calling setState~
    Gabriel Corrêa
    @bielzim0
    thx I thought there was a fancy way of doing it :P

    Hi, how to use BackdropToggleButton as Action , default replaces Leading, when I add to actions[] it cause RenderFlex error
    sleewok
    @sleewok
    Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on best practices for changing screens/front layer. Hopefully I make this clear... Would it be best navigate between screens and handle related front/back layer from the new screen? Or just change the state of the initial backdropscaffold by setting the front / back layers accordingly?
    Felix
    @WieFel
    When you mean navigating between screens you mean you have multiple screens with a backdrop (back+front layer)?
    if yes, then I'd say these are different pages and thus can have a backdropscaffold on their own...
    Jan Hendrych
    @hendrychjan
    Hi guys, I have a quick question: is there a way to add a shadow to the front layer?
    Felix
    @WieFel
    I just checked and saw that front layer elevation is set to 1
    @daadu_gitlab maybe we could make a parameter out of this?!
    Jan Hendrych
    @hendrychjan
    yeah that'd be great
    Felix
    @WieFel
    would you mind creating an issue for that in https://github.com/fluttercommunity/backdrop/issues ?
    then we will handle it ;)
    sleewok
    @sleewok
    @WieFel Thanks for your response. I just noticed it today. That is exactly what I ended up doing.
    Jan Hendrych
    @hendrychjan
    @WieFel sure, will do :)
    thanks for the support btw, I appreciate the community :)
