Is there a way to draw on a Canvas without overwriting what's already there?

I had a doubt, dart is used for front end in flutter and firebase for database and storage, which do we use for backend?
Can you explain a scenario how backend is used in a app?
Can dart be used for backend or do we have to use nodejs or python,etc?
Randal L. Schwartz
@RandalSchwartz
dart can certainly be used for backend
in fact, it means you can easily share validation routines to both server and client sides.
RamithKS
@ramithKS
Okat thank you so much
Randal L. Schwartz
@RandalSchwartz
and many people are using dart (flutter) for frontend, and firebase for back-end.

Hey guys, have anyone ever debug some flutter code into NVIM? I mean, using breakpoints, checking variable content, continue, etc
smolck
@smolck
oh and if you have more questions, the neovim gitter is a great place to ask ;)

So, I’m trying to create a frontend GUI to the Neovim text editor, and I’m doing the drawing with a CustomPaint widget. The problem is that every single time a small part of the editor changes, e.g. the cursor moves, I’m redrawing everything, including the text/chars, and this is slow. I’d like to, say, only update the cursor box position sometimes, while keeping the rest of what’s drawn on the Canvas where it is without overwriting it. Is there any way I can do that (I can provide code if necessary)?
Whenever I call canvas.drawRect(...) it seems to overwrite whatever else was drawn on the canvas.

Hey all, i'm a flutter noob, but i'm building a Flutter "embedder" for a custom embedded device. I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of how how code reloading/restarting etc are implemented in the Flutter devtools packages. I've got the dart "observatory" running, but i'm not sure what else is required.

hi devs
their is any bloc dev here ?
for exapmle I have two screen one is upper screen and second is inner screen of upper screen when I open inner screen the api call and get the data and when I back to upper screen I want to update one text field which I get in inner screen their is any thing which bloc gives us ?
Or when I came back to internal screen the upper screen should be refresh
kadnan0900
@kadnan0900
There are two pages, first page is HomePage where it fetch the api data automatically with the help of flutter_bloc package. In the homepage (first page) there is also a button which goes to second page (Settings Page) with the help of this code Navigator.push(context, MaterialPageRoute(builder: (BuildContext context) => SettingsPage()));. In the Second page there are 3 radiobuttons and one button at the bottom (Button name is Save). And when i click on save button it goes back to homepage with the help of this code Navigator.pop(context);
better example
