    Linkid Right now, we're using Travis and Appveyor for CI + CD
    Linkid but I didn't finish to setup up all that :x. I would like to finish it this month, though
    Linkid btw, what is this company ?
    Linkid (I'm available in IRC if you want to chat more ;))
    Karl Fogel
    @kfogel_twitter
    Hey, @Linkid. I'm over in IRC, but am here too (watching both).
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Hi, I've been trying to open the game from source code, but the compiler shows "Process finished with exit code 1". I'm using the code from GitHub and Python 2.7 compiler. What would you recommend me to do?

    Linkid Rexrder (Gitter): hi
    Linkid Rexrder (Gitter): did you build C / C++ extension before executing FoFiX.py ?
    Linkid *extensions
    Linkid which OS are you using, btw ?
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Yes, I did. I'm using Windows 10 64-bits
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid Rexrder (Gitter): can you give us the content of fofix.log, please ? (you can put it in a paste bin service ;))
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    I don't find fofix.log. Where it's supossed to be? Anyway, I tried to redo the steps one by one and now I'm getting this stuff: Traceback
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid Rexrder (Gitter): arg, I made a mistake in the last merge :x
    Linkid I'm fixing it right now.
    Linkid The log file is in %APPDIR%/fofix/
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid ok, your second error should be fixed
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Now I'm getting another one: Traceback
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid you need to compile extensions
    Linkid (it seems it doesn't find the VideoPlayer one)
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Ok, ok. That's just building the C/C++ parts?
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid yep, with the build_ext command ;)
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Is this OK? It seems kinda strange.
    That appears while building
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid They are only warnings, they should not bother you
    Linkid (btw, it is temporary : after the release of fretwork, extensions will be migrated to fretwork)
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Ok :). I'm still getting that problem with the VideoPlayer extension, even when I build several times. Do you know what could I have (or have not) done to achieve this error?
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid ok, I can reproduce your bug
    Linkid I'll make an issue, then
    Linkid to have a trace of it
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Ok, I'll be looking forward to know why is this happening. Anyway, the source code inside the src folder of the 3.121 version its supossed to be compiled? I mean, can I run FoFiX from thatFoFiX.py?
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid Rexrder (Gitter): you don't have to compile the v3.121, so yes, you can easily run it directly ;)
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Ahh, I didn't know that. Thanks :)
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid ok, I found where the problem is
    Linkid I'll make an issue first
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid ahah, it was a tricky one
    Linkid Rexrder (Gitter): did you change the language ?
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Yes, once. Then I changed it back to its normal state.
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid ok, then, you have to generate translations : python setup.py msgfmt ;)
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid then, you will be able to launch the game ;)
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Ok, I did it and it still the same. I don't know what to do next.
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid I made a change to fix it. You can pull the repo again, or just apply this patch : commenting the line 55 in fofix.core.Language
    Linkid after the msgfmt command, you should have a .mo in data/translations.
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Ok, I pulled the repo and there are some .mo files inside that folder, but it still doesn't work for me. It's the same
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid Arg... Can you give your last logs, then ?
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Here you have all the process and the Traceback. I don't see any .log in the folder.
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    Linkid Hmm... I cannot reproduce it.
    You should have a file fofix.log in %APPDATA%.fofix\
    Linkid It seems one DLL is missing, from your traceback...
    Linkid Maybe you should open an issue, to trace it and see if someone has the same error.
    Rexrder
    @Rexrder
    Ok, thanks. I'll open an issue and wait for answers while I try to repeat the process in another way
