    we need an autodeployment from github wiki to github pages on each wiki commit using Sphinx
    Vikas Singh
    @vkassingh

    details are in the issue fossasia/support.eventyay.com#188. I recommend to read the issue again in detail.. and really check out the links ... and actually do read the issue.
    It seems you did not read the issue honestly.

    @vkassingh

    The posts in blog are from your main repo
    We don't want that
    We want to deploy the posts from wiki to gh-pages
    We already deploy posts from the repo to gh-pages. I already told you that yesterday

    @iamareebjamal I am working on that issue fossasia/support.eventyay.com#188, I have been able to partly achieve the goal but there are two issues currently. The way it works is, it extracts the wiki content and converts it into a jekyll webpage. However,

    1. It doesn't automatically synchronize when the wiki is updated. It can only be done when the master branch is updated
    2. I does create a copy of the whole wiki in the master branch.

    Is this what we are trying to achieve here?

    My code is raw right now, will push it to a repo later
    Areeb Jamal
    @iamareebjamal
    @Purhan Thanks. We need to use github webhooks and github actions to run the script everytime the wiki changes. About the second point, it is expected but as it is git, only the diff should be stored. If the diff is too large, we can remove the previous commits but that is out of scope for now, let's focus on 1
    Do you have a demo link of the generated site?

    @iamareebjamal https://github.com/Purhan/jekyll-wiki here is the code. Pretty raw as of right now (no styling, broken links) but hopefully you get the idea.

    Cool. Next step would be to handle links in the wiki as it uses a special syntax which is not a valid markdown. So please add links in a wiki page to other wiki page and handle its site generation

    There is a number of options to write a wiki including markdown. Links work just fine (Example)

    the problem would arise when there is a cross-reference of a page in another page as it would redirect to github in that case
    is that what you're talking about?
    Areeb Jamal
    @iamareebjamal
    Yes

    @iamareebjamal Done (Example), I have used regex to replace any links (or reference that would otherwise be invalid in markdown) with the docs website's link. I couldn't think of a better solution, are you satisfied with the results?
