@SaptakS very concise and short. Would be nice to have a table of content and also include the outcome summary as you shared with me yesterday if possible, a bit more presentable wld be nice.

Should I write a blog mentioning the entire thing?

@SaptakS @shivamMg @rafalkowalski @aditya1702 @niranjan94 Do you know how to turn off logs like this . weird_logs
They make watching the real logs impossible.

I think turning off the profiler would fix it ...
app.config['PROFILE'] = False in app/__init__.py Line: 125
Added in this commit fossasia/open-event-orga-server@181f42d

No, it didn't work.
I also tried changing SQLALCHEMY_RECORD_QUERIES to False

Removing that entire profiler middleware fixes it
Remove
app.config['PROFILE'] = True
    app.wsgi_app = ProfilerMiddleware(app.wsgi_app, restrictions=[30])

Hey guys, the logo field here : http://open-event-dev.herokuapp.com/api/v2/events/9
Is empty right now
I needed this for fixing fossasia/open-event-android#619
Could you have a look at it?
Niranjan Rajendran
@niranjan94
Aug 21 2016 18:45
You could log in and create a new event with a logo...
Or even make a new import of that sample, and edit the event and add the logo
Harshit Dwivedi
@the-dagger
Aug 21 2016 18:46
Oh ok @niranjan94
I didn't know that.
I'll do it, thanks

Sure.. No problem :) if you don't see a logo in the API response even after uploading one... Let us know...

I'm getting 500 internal server error while creating a new event, is that a known issue right now?

I will fix it right away..
btw @the-dagger you can create an event now..

@the-dagger
Aug 21 2016 19:03
ok, doing it

@the-dagger
Aug 21 2016 19:08
Ok, so I created a new event and the logo contains a whole link to the actual logo
    "logo": "https://opevbucketname.s3.amazonaws.com/events/153/logo/VVJlcDd0dG/1471806245.81.png",
But this is not in the case with samples
they have a relative path to the image logo
Saptak Sengupta
@SaptakS
Aug 21 2016 19:08
@the-dagger I think the samples are pretty backdated.. Not sure though.. @aviaryan any input?
Harshit Dwivedi
@the-dagger
Aug 21 2016 19:09
Yeah, it would be great if they could be updated :)

@the-dagger we have to deal them in both ways, like in webapp we concatenate the api endpoint with relative path to handle this if we have relative links like /images/ otherwise we use direct http://
Harshit Dwivedi
@the-dagger
Aug 21 2016 19:11
yeah that's what I am doing for testing right now with the samples
Just wanted to be sure what will be the final link in the api
Aayush Arora (angularboy)
@aayusharora
Aug 21 2016 19:13
@dagger The data coming to us in case of a image can be the full link or it can be the realtive link, we have to deal with both.
that is my point
Harshit Dwivedi
@the-dagger
Aug 21 2016 19:13
Yeah, got it.
I'll add a check for it in the code :)

@rafalkowalski There is a re-ocurring issue, that is marked fixed at times, but never seemed to work: The locations and social media links disappear after every update. Do you think there is any chance this could get resolved somehow?

@mariobehling I checked up the resizing issue. Even before the resizing was implemented, if someone uploaded a 150 kb image, it got saved as an image of size 2.5MB.. now what I have done is resized this 2.5MB image.. So final large image has a size of 1.3 MB.... So my resizing is working fine.. But I don't know why uploading a 150kb image gets saved as an image of size 2.5MB... @niranjan94 do you know?
