@sumedh123 I tried for an event and then queried the corresponding celery task..

Yes. your task url does return 500.
try doing again with some other event.

Aug 13 2017 09:08
Okay
Saptak Sengupta
@SaptakS
Aug 13 2017 09:08
or with the same event. doesn't really matter
Sumedh Nimkarde
@lunaticmonk
Aug 13 2017 09:09
No with the same event, I tried from much time, it's not working
I will try with another event
Saptak Sengupta
@SaptakS
Aug 13 2017 09:09
event id?
Sumedh Nimkarde
@lunaticmonk
Aug 13 2017 09:09
182
Saptak Sengupta
@SaptakS
Aug 13 2017 09:10
ok... works for me... though it gives a status FAILURE
Sumedh Nimkarde
@lunaticmonk
Aug 13 2017 09:10
Ahh, does it require admin rights?
Saptak Sengupta
@SaptakS
Aug 13 2017 09:10
I don't have admin rights

@lunaticmonk
Aug 13 2017 09:11
Umm strange!
Saptak Sengupta
@SaptakS
Aug 13 2017 09:11
And I sent a request to your task url, but it is returning 500 error.
I am guessing due to some reason the task_id is wrong in your case. why I don't know.
I don't have credentials of the db... maybe @niranjan94 can help you debug why exactly this is happening..
Sumedh Nimkarde
@lunaticmonk
Aug 13 2017 09:12
Yeah it works
Whats the event ID for this event?
Saptak Sengupta
@SaptakS
Aug 13 2017 09:13
182
anyways it's returning failure. so not much help anyways
Sumedh Nimkarde
@lunaticmonk
Aug 13 2017 09:13
No it will return success
after some time
since export requires some time
Saptak Sengupta
@SaptakS
Aug 13 2017 09:14
@sumedh123 nope.
The state it should return when it is working is PENDING
not FAILURE
Sumedh Nimkarde
@lunaticmonk
Aug 13 2017 09:15
What's the workaround?
Saptak Sengupta
@SaptakS
Aug 13 2017 09:15
FAILURE means celery task failed... or at least that is what it should mean...
Someone with access needs to check the log why it is failing..
as for your 500 error, I have no clue
Sumedh Nimkarde
@lunaticmonk
Aug 13 2017 09:17
Who else has access? Do you know?
Saptak Sengupta
@SaptakS
Aug 13 2017 09:17
no

@SaptakS
Aug 13 2017 09:19
:P
celery worker might have crashed due to some reason and restarted now..
good good
Sumedh Nimkarde
@lunaticmonk
Aug 13 2017 09:19
That was strange :sweat_smile:
Saptak Sengupta
@SaptakS
Aug 13 2017 09:20

Is the celery working correctly server side? It sometimes works and sometimes crashes?

Me, @CosmicCoder96 and @betterclever will be organising a GSoC meetup in our college on 17th august along with fellow GSoCers from our college, will you or @hpdang be available for a hangouts session on that date ?
Mario Behling

@shubham-padia Is it possible to only organize a meetup about FOSSASIA projects and teach students how to install them? Instead of showing "how cool GSoC is" we are actually looking for contributors. We are not interested in a GSoC roadshow. We are interested only in contributors.
We don't need a meetup about GSoC. We need a meetup about how to contribute and do this practically.

@mariobehling Yes. We were thinking of something like that only, after the initial meetup we had planned to do a small workshop for the interested students, where they can learn how to get started with the project practically.

@shubham-padia GSoC is over. We don't need to get people excited about GSoC now. If you are talking about getting new people on board as described in the guidelines - we don't care about a big show without outcome. We want contributors.
