Hi mentors, I have a question regarding GSOC ideas in FOSSASIA/open-event-server...
Most of the ideas in the list are already implemented. Will it be updated in coming days?

@shubham-padia @rafalkowalski
I was trying to setup open event server on my local machine.
After following all the steps till 4.
On running python create_db.py I get the following error.

In psql, I made username of mamakancha with database named oevent with owner mamakancha.

/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/psycopg2/__init__.py:144: UserWarning: The psycopg2 wheel package will be renamed from release 2.8; in order to keep installing from binary please use "pip install psycopg2-binary" instead. For details see: <http://initd.org/psycopg/docs/install.html#binary-install-from-pypi>.

FATAL: password authentication failed for user "john"

There's no user named john. I cleared all users and created mamakancha again but same thing is happening. How to rectify it? Any help is appreciated.

mamakancha (development) open-event-server $ cat .env
DATABASE_URL=postgresql://john:start@127.0.0.1:5432/oevent
INTEGRATE_SOCKETIO=false
SERVER_NAME=localhost:5000 #(If you do not wish to set SERVER_NAME, do not add this line)
TEST_DATABASE_URL=postgresql://open_event_user:test@127.0.0.1:5432/opev_test

@ParthS007 should I change something here?

You have to mention DATABASE_URL=postgresql:// USERNAME:PASSWORD@127.0.0.1:5432/oevent

@SaptakS Let's follow up on this: We have an additional forked repo on our org now. Is this really needed? You stated:

We have a dependency to the flask-rest-jsonapi with some changes made by shubham padia. Currently when someone installs the dependency it downloads from shubham padia's repository. So I forked it in fossasia so that the installations can be done from fossasia's fork instead of his fork. For long term I think it might be useful to keep it in fossasia, since people might be reluctant on seeing a dependency on one of developer's repo rather than org's.

So, what changes are made? Why can't we use the original repo and see if the changes can be adapted, e.g. by using a script?
