Also make sure to create a virtual environment. It's highly recommended. Not the cause of error though.

Alright.
Just try it on a virtual env and then we'll see the possible issue.

@bhavybarca If comfortable, you can work on fossasia/open-event-server#4744 :smile:

Jun 12 2018 11:00
Or you could implement a whole new endpoint here: fossasia/open-event-server#4842
It will be tough though but you'll get familiar with every component of the project.

@schedutron i can't understand it completely but wat i can make out of it is "making travis wokr offline" am i right?
@srv-twry yeah that is gonna be difficult but i can surely try it

Jun 12 2018 11:09
so are we looking to make a new tab under "events" named "favourites" in which user can have their fav events ?
Saurav Tiwary
@srv-twry
Jun 12 2018 11:10
Yeah that would be done on the client side. It could be used in the android app as well.
On our side i.e. the server, we have to add support for it.
Saurabh Chaturvedi
@schedutron
Jun 12 2018 11:11
@bhavybarca Essentially, yes, making it offline :laughing:

@bhavybarca
Jun 12 2018 11:13
@schedutron that's gonna take a long time, i have no idea how travis works, can you provide with some good resources on its working n code :P
@srv-twry so what i see on localhost:5000 is gonna be the same as what the client will see on android or web ?
Saurav Tiwary
@srv-twry
Jun 12 2018 11:17
No, it just the api docs for developers to see. A server doesn't have any GUI right ? It's a REST API. The clients will be hitting on endpoints like https://open-event-api-dev.herokuapp.com/v1/users
localhost:5000 just shows what all endpoints are available to the devs to use
bhavybarca
@bhavybarca
Jun 12 2018 11:20
ooo now i got it, yeah the favourite API is a good task and i would definitely like to work on it :smile:
Saurav Tiwary
@srv-twry
Jun 12 2018 11:21
Make sure to ask for the requirements of the endpoint on the issue and discuss it before moving ahead. You'll have to do some research but hope you're up for it :smile:
bhavybarca
@bhavybarca
Jun 12 2018 11:30
yup its gonna be a big task and i ll be asking a lot of questions too :P

@bhavybarca Once you finish with this, you can work on the Travis issue, or you can also work in parallel if that seems fine to you.
