stuff we've done: the logic
stuff we haven't done: the templates, getting the csv from youtube (currently it's a matter of the admin downloading it and then uploading it on the admin page)
and deploying it
i think if we let her know that we'll deploy it to azure or sth in the next few days so she can have a look and try it out so she can give feedback, that may be good
atm currently using my azure account while we develop

righto
I feel like mentioning that if she wants this part of the project to serve her well for a while and not just be a throwaway start point, it will be worth us spending a bit more time on next week as well
but that will obvs reduce amount of time we can spent on the vid uploader

i think perhaps if we just say we think it's worth spending more time on this side of the project so that it's very robust, but we'll get back in contact on monday and see where she'd like us to proceed from there

James Griffiths
@MIJOTHY
Apr 17 2015 10:13 UTC
right, the tests aren't working because the function was changed for videoid and legend
also there are a variable number of commas between fields
in the actual csv
Rory
@rorysedgwick
Apr 17 2015 10:16 UTC
any double commas indicate the field in between is empty no?
James Griffiths
@MIJOTHY
Apr 17 2015 10:16 UTC
and some fields have commas within them
ok
or does the field comma not matter?
ah sweet
ill have a look through now, but could we get the tests working again, gave me a fright

looks like the parser got a problem
"Lloyd Banks, 50 Cent, Cashis, Eminem",You Don't Know (Album Version (Explicit)),,Universal Music
got commas in that field but the parser splits them up if i can see correctly
at least it does in the test case

rebeccas response, think it only came back to me:
Hi Rory,

Ok, thanks for the update! I'm at a consulting job on Monday but I'd be able to give you a ring at lunchtime but am on emails if you need me for anything.

Thanks,
Rebecca

ok so papa parse is going to negate the need for any of our own converter functions aye

right well using a solid package is probably more reliable than our own functions
