    @badinsky great to hear -- of course, always happy to help

    Hey there. I'm having trouble getting frame to connect to geth on a remote node. I can geth attach just fine, but frame always shows "disconnected"
    Mathew Kamkar
    @matkam
    metamask can connect too
    Jordan Muir
    @floating
    Hey @matkam, hmm, I think the fastest way to troubleshoot this would be to send me your logs and I can look into this for you. My email is jordan@frame.sh and you'll find your log at:
    • on Linux: ~/.config/Frame/logs/main.log
    • on macOS: ~/Library/Logs/Frame/main.log
    • on Windows: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Frame\logs\main.log

    thanks @floating ! doesn't seem like anything useful

    @floating
    Hmm, no, how are you connecting to this geth node? Do you mind sharing the endpoint and I can try to reproduce the issue on my end?
    Mathew Kamkar
    @matkam
    oh wow
    it works if I put it in the "secondary" network
    but not in the primary
    its a geth node running in my local network. I'm using http
    Jordan Muir
    @floating
    gotcha, definitely a bug then :)
    Mathew Kamkar
    @matkam
    oh
    actually I found the issue
    I somehow put a space before the port, embarrassing
    well, thanks for the help!
    Jordan Muir
    @floating
    ahh, we should probably strip spaces actually
    no problem!
    Mathew Kamkar
    @matkam
    some kind of validation sounds like a great idea :thumbsup:

    Hi! While using Frame with Ledger, my wallets change when I switch between chains (so addresses of the wallets change). Is there any way to control the same addresses on Mainnet and Rinkeby for example?
    Jordan Muir
    @floating
    Hey @bbenligiray! Currently there isn't as we use separate derivations paths for mainnets and testnets to prevent mistakenly acting on a mainnet when you thought you were on a testnet. This is something we could add an option for in the future though.
    Burak Benligiray
    @bbenligiray
    @floating Got it, thanks

    Hey, how do I change the network of frame? (i want to connect to a network not listed in the default list -> xDai)
    JMed0115
    @JMed0115
    I am trying to connect to Frame v0.3.3 on IDChain and on the desktop it just keeps saying "waiting for account" It says that I am connected to Frame. I am using Chrome, Windows machine, Metamask wallet
    Jordan Muir
    @floating
    @idhm It is in the settings menu following the >>> in the upper right.
    Click to the right of "Connection" where it likely says "Mainnet" -- if you don't see xDai you're likely using v0.3.2. xDai is included in v0.3.3 and is currently in prerelease testing but you can find it here https://github.com/floating/frame/releases/tag/v0.3.3
    @JMed0115 Frame does not use Metamask but instead our own extension https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/frame/ldcoohedfbjoobcadoglnnmmfbdlmmhf
    You're seeing the connection to Frame (from the frame.sh website) because you do not need an extension to connect to Frame -- but most dapps do not know how to do this yet
    If it says waiting for account that means you have setup and then opened an account in Frame
    JMed0115
    @JMed0115
    image.png
    I did install the extension for Frame on Chrome but it does not connect. I just get the picture above with the spinning wheel...
    Jordan Muir
    @floating
    That means you have to setup and then opened an account in Frame
    JMed0115
    @JMed0115

    That means you have to setup and then opened an account in Frame

    How do I do this? How do I setup and open the account?

    Jordan Muir
    @floating
    On the main view in Frame you will see a +
    Screen Shot 2020-10-15 at 3.28.49 PM.png
    Screen Shot 2020-10-15 at 3.29.02 PM.png
    Which will take you to this screen and help set up different types of accounts
    Once you have an account added it will appear on that main view and you'll be able to select it
    JMed0115
    @JMed0115
    I will try again. Thank you @floating
    Jordan Muir
    @floating
    No problem, let me know if you run into any other issues
    JMed0115
    @JMed0115
    When I try to add an account, I choose Aragon and pick the DAO name. Then it asks me for an acting account - what is this and how do I choose it?
    Jordan Muir
    @floating
    Your acting account is the account you use to interact with your DAO.
    When you add an Aragon account you are adding the DAO itself.
    After setting them up, when you use the Aragon account you will be acting as your DAO and signing those actions with the acting account that has permission to do so.
    JMed0115
    @JMed0115
    I am sorry to keep bothering you, but my extension does not seem to work. I can only open Frame from the desktop app. I added the Argaon DAO as the account, iI am not sure what you mean by the account I use to interact with the DAO? Do you mean the Metamask Wallet?
    Jordan Muir
    @floating
    Not a bother at all!
    So the extension is a very lightweight bridge to the desktop app
    It does not have it's own interface
    It's just a tool for injecting a connection to Frame into browser dapps that do not know how to connect to Frame directly yet
