Anyone taken a look at the Allen data yet?

@jsseely we've definitely browsed through it, and i spent some time looking at the analysis code

Any thoughts? E.g. Does it suffer from the low-rank problem (too many neurons, too few samples/times/conditions)? I want to spend the weekend looking through it.

also in this hotel lobby they're playing one of the most classic / annoying bob's songs!
can't escape

@jsseely hm not sure, i'd say the stimulus range seems reasonable but also very standard relative to typical visual neuroscience experiments
gratings + noise + natural images
prob would be / would have been a great dataset for your dimensionality comparisons, e.g. something for the V1 category
but as for the the full extent of the richness of the data, less clear to me
@jasminetstone got all the tests working jasminetstone/fakearray#2
if you want to merge that
one issue was a python3 specific thing (making the import for calciumimaging relative with the dot)
the thing of needing to explicitly call pip install ., which sets up the python paths correctly, is a little unexpected to me

mafintosh @freeman-lab i suggested you as a speaker to a tech event in cph in sept
mafintosh in case they email you (they are still figuring out budget and stuff)
mafintosh the event is called techbbq and is a non-profit event. their marketing is a bit to techy for me but i know the people and they are super cool. we share the same non-profit co-working space

so i've been stubbornly working away at https://github.com/sethvincent/wzrd-bundler for making it easier to debug things like the regl-site editor. it almost works :frowning:
