Hello all, I recently wrote up an example of using the Data Package Python libraries to join tabular data: http://frictionlessdata.io/guides/joining-tabular-data-in-python/

There are lots of ways to join tabular data, of course, this is mainly meant as an exercise to (a) show how the libraries work and (b) showcase a potential use case we might want to support for Data Packages.

I also wrote up a post on the Labs blog showing how we can use Data Packages and Good Tables to have a sort of CI service… for data: http://okfnlabs.org/blog/2016/05/17/automated-data-validation.html

@danfowler Your article link "In a separate guide..” points to the wrong URL; should be http://frictionlessdata.io/guides/joining-data-in-python/

@/all We’re planning on splitting Data Package-related specs to specs.frictionlessdata.io and moving the rest to specs.okfnlabs.org. Issue here: dataprotocols/dataprotocols#263

I can add this to the guide (or perhaps a new guide?) once the library is pushed to PyPI

@roll README.md on PyPI page looks ugly :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
It gives bad first impression for those finding packages via PyPI.

@sirex I've found a way how to convert markdown to rst on ci/cd but it's still not good enough for pypi
I'll try to remove language python from codeblocks - i have feeling I've already run into it
