I just came across frictionless data, and it occurred to me that some of the work and insights might be applicable to a lightweight structured document management system

Big  - i actually starting using data packages for “Official Inquiries” https://reports.datopian.com/ - https://github.com/official-inquiries e.g. see this repo with a datapackage.json https://github.com/official-inquiries/us-psi-financial-crisis

@rufuspollock ah that's interesting! To make sure I understand, us-psi-financial-crises is effectively a managed set of documents using the official-inquiries system?

yes, i’m using datapackage.json and some of data package tooling as a way of managing metadata etc.

@hgomersall there was some work done by paul fitz http://okfnlabs.org/blog/2013/08/08/diffing-and-patching-data.html - so far we have not evolved that further though.

@rufuspollock Ah yes, sorry - that was the original source I came across - I'd conflated that with your stuff in my mind.
