Gareth Wright
@GarethWright
It does build everything else, so at the moment I'm copying in a working index.html and renaming the css and js files with a .bat
If only I wasn't tied to a PC at work!
Fabian Vogelsteller
@frozeman
so eveyrthing works, besides you get errors with the file name length?
Gareth Wright
@GarethWright
Everything works except generating index.html and file name length for css and js

Generating the index.html...

fs.js:772 return binding.unlink(pathModule._makeLong(path)); ^ Error: EPERM, operation not permitted 'C:\Users\garethw\Desktop\Tidy\rmsClient\5 bfc97ade90aff3c0e92c06cc55823f48b82e302.css' at Object.fs.unlinkSync (fs.js:772:18) at Object.module.exports.addIndexFile (C:\Users\garethw\AppData\Roaming\npm\ node_modules\meteor-build-client\meteor.js:120:16) at C:\Users\garethw\AppData\Roaming\npm\node_modules\meteor-build-client\mai n.js:84:20 at null._onTimeout (C:\Users\garethw\AppData\Roaming\npm\node_modules\meteor -build-client\queue.js:41:11) at Timer.listOnTimeout [as ontimeout] (timers.js:112:15)

@frozeman
thanks, i’m currently very bussy, but i will take a look asp
Gareth Wright
@GarethWright
No problem frozeman, I have the workaround so no hurry

Hi guys. Is there a step I'm missing when using this and Iron Router? I can hit the login page of my app and get redirected based on the logic in a Router.onBeforeActioncall but then navigating anywhere else just gives me a blank page.

I'm building like this meteor-build-client ../build -u http://localhost:8081 and then accessing the app from a Python SimpleHTTPServer.

Fabian Vogelsteller
@frozeman
the problem is that you need to configure your server to rewrite urls, and aleways point them to the index.html, so your js can do the routing.
If you really redirect then youre not in a meteor app anymore.
just a guess
Tom
@thenametomwastaken
Ah I see. I'll try that, thanks.

@GarethWright
Check the issues kenny. Solution is in there :)

@mmorejon
Hi, I'm using meteor-build-client ../tmp -p /casa/ and then accessing the app from nginx
Fabian Vogelsteller
@frozeman
ok
and?
or was that an answer on the above form one moths ago?
Manuel Morejón Espinosa
@mmorejon
the browser print Oops, looks like there's no route on the client or the server for url: "http://linux.pentlab.com/casa/."
i check errors on Inspect view
Fabian Vogelsteller
@frozeman
did you upload it?
Manuel Morejón Espinosa
@mmorejon
and show this http://linux.pentlab.com/sockjs/info?cb=_hp4ljvczb 404 (Not Found)
what can I do please?
Fabian Vogelsteller
@frozeman
Thats ok, this is meteors first try to reconnect, we cant prevent this
Manuel Morejón Espinosa
@mmorejon
yes I saw the issue
when you explain that
I refresh the page but I get the same
maybe I am doing something wrong
Manuel Morejón Espinosa
@mmorejon
What I have noticed is that in the path which shows the error, does not appear to subpath /casa/
Is this a correct behavior?
Fabian Vogelsteller
@frozeman
i dont wuite follow?
can you check in the generated index.html if your path appear?
Manuel Morejón Espinosa
@mmorejon
Yes, I check in generated index.html and the path is correct, but browser console don't show the subpath casa. Is this normal? I hoped the way out was: http://linux.pentlab.com/casa/sockjs/info?cb=_hp4ljvczb
Fabian Vogelsteller
@frozeman
im confused.
what you want to accomplish?
Manuel Morejón Espinosa
@mmorejon
deploy meteor client without mongodb in subpath folder. Thats why I use the command line meteor-build-client ../tmp -p /casa/. After I copy all files to /var/www/html/casa folder. I expected to see my website displayed, but I found http://linux.pentlab.com/sockjs/info?cb=_hp4ljvczb 404 (Not Found). Although the index.html file appears Meteor.disconnect () the browser does not display the content.
I don't know what I am doing wrong
Manuel Morejón Espinosa
@mmorejon
Thank you very much for your attention. I have moved the application to the root directory and it worked perfectly.
Fabian Vogelsteller
@frozeman
hm.. but it should also work in the sub folder
the page was loaded, but meteor file couldnt be started. the error is not the cause
Manuel Morejón Espinosa
@mmorejon
Hi, you are right!!!! Everything it's ok now. I made a mistake during deploy, thanks a lot

I'd like to use Meteor from a react native application and came across meteor-build-client
I'm thinking this is the right solution but can't be sure
Anyone got tips?
Fabian Vogelsteller
@frozeman
I don't think so. This us to bundle a meteor app front end. React native is not an meteor as far as I know
There is no package for react native
Matt Doak
@sklink
@frozeman does meteor-build-client support angular-meteor apps? I started a fresh Angular Meteor app following this: http://www.angular-meteor.com/tutorials/socially/angular1/bootstrapping and I can't seem to get it to load from index.html. I did use -p with a few different options -- it seems to be linking to the .js file so I would guess that I didn't mess that up.
Fabian Vogelsteller
@frozeman
you started with -p “”?
AlbertoHdezCerezo
@AlbertoHdezCerezo
Hallo! First of all thank you so much for your project, it is really cool to have a tool to build Meteor projects only on client side. I am trying to use meteor-build-client with no result. When I get the files and open index.html on browser I get the router error "Oops, looks like there's no route on the client or the server for url: ...". I know you mentioned something about routes in the project page, but still dont figure out if it is possible/ how to display in local the app via index.html (don't understand so well this point in the documentation). Can I ask you for little help?
Fabian Vogelsteller
@frozeman
The problem is the router I guess.
Fabian Vogelsteller
@frozeman
You can use a router which uses hash urls. But u didn't found any good.
I use it mostly for running in a local server
