I will work today on incorporating the comments from RDO and might assign you some things in the Google doc if that's ok?
The deadline is 23rd, but I would like to aim at submitting on the 22nd, to avoid last minute rush and overload of the submission system (they mentioned they were expecting a large number of submissions given that this is the last time this call will happen after 7 years)

Note, the project has to be finished by 31 August 2023 the latest. Either start at 01-09-2020 for a 36 months’ project, or 01-10-2020 for a 35 months’ project.
Over the phone today we highlighted these important points:
- Where possible include concrete examples of the Msc-/PhD-programmes involved (e.g. in de section about the tasks/responsibilities of the consortium partners, and the impact and sustainability sections)
In the IOs 1 – 4:
- Avoid too much repetition. Explain the tasks and applied methodology (how you develop the training materials) in detail in IO1. In IO 2 – 4 refer to IO1 and point out any differences
- Where possible, estimate the workload for the participants (how long will the training be). (and/or mention the judgement of the workload for specific types of students as one of the tasks, to be carried out together with the education directors of the postgraduate programmes involved)
- Make clear what new/additional materials will be developed (in follow-up of the statement earlier that you will use existing materials and develop additional ones)
- Workload/size of the training modules + what has to be developed => will help to estimate the necessary amount of work days in the budget.
- Assessments? Will the participants be able (or obliged) to take a (n online?) test/assessment? Will they receive a certificate?

We feel OK about most of it, due to the amazing work of the EMC RDO who have reviewed it thrice now. But if you DO have time, it would be amazing if you could read the following sections and make sure the scope of work sounds OK, and it's all clear for you what is required from freiburg. In the TtT is currently missing some blabla about mentroship that I need to write this morning
- "Intellectual Output: Train the Trainer" (led by FR, supported by INAB-CERTH).
- "Intellectual Output: Large-scale data analysis, and introduction to visualization and data modelling", (led by EMC, supported by FR)
- "Intellectual Output: Data analysis and modelling for evidence and hypothesis generation and knowledge discovery module" (led by Yvan, supported by FR)
one of the remaining questions from RDO is whether we would have assessments/exams. We have the question boxes with answers, do we want to do anything more? focus on writing some more extensive exercises and/or example exam questions instructors could use? What are your thoughts on this?

speaking of risk management, we tried jitsi for the galaxy committers meeting last night, it was meh overall. some nice features, but, it degrades quite poorly in poor conditions. Zoom drops video before dropping audio packets, jitsi compressed the audio and tried to play catchup, making the missed portion unintelligible
might be better on a privately hosted server, freiburg has their own which I'm sure we can request use of (or just a VM for a private one in their cloud)
so, there are some things we can control more strictly in a gallantries setting (private server, which browsers) that might make it still a possible option
for Firefox and Jitsi, I heard that they are working on it at Mozilla to make it works
@hexylena I checked the "Intellectual Output: Train the Trainer”. Looks good. I made some suggestions. I hope they are not too much out of the scope. Let me know if they are not clear (I feel that my brain is not fully functional)
I will try to have a look to the other IO in the afternoon
I'm rewriting a bit of it now, maybe if you have time in the afternoon you can re-review?
