Hey guys, I need some help with an error message. I'm trying to modify the a Particle in the Base Outline under "Particle Defaults" and when I do I get the following error message:

Forbidden
You do not have permission to access this document.

Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to solve it? I've checked the permissions and everything seems OK so I'm not sure what's going on.
This is on Joomla 3.9.21 with Gantry 5.4.35

@N8Solutions , can you share a screenshot of the error? Have you tried reverting to plain Jane Joomla htaccess? Tried incognito mode?

@N8Solutions Hi Michael - oddly, I've seen a similar error (specifically a 403) with my UK host; it only appears every few months due to a specific security that they run.
If I remember correctly, you host the site yourself - the solution was to whitelist in ModSecurity

trying to move WP site to AWS server. but without success. Can I clear all data in the WP-content/cache?
If the domain name has changed are there any additionla files where the domain is started other thatn the database.

Normally use Akeeba Backup to move sites but AWS can't handle is as the use cluster databases

I have also tried incognito mode as well as even simply deleting the .htaccess file and still no luck.

The problem occurs, so far anyways, only when I try to save any changes made to a Particle in Particle Defaults.

I can still go to any of the other outlines where a particle has been added and change the setting of the particle there without getting the error message. The problem is limited only to the Particle Defaults section.

I would give mod security a shot like they suggested. Might manually delete cache files as well

For Gantry5 on Grav, what does it mean to assign a Position to a Page or Page Type? It doesn't include a region, so I don't see how this feature can be useful...

what are you thinking of?

position inside of the page content? which uses your custom twig?

i think it's possible

never tested it tho

you can make gantry to render position by {{ gantry.platform.displayModules(position, attribs)|raw }}

you can also make it to display single particle and you can feed the configuration for that particle, too

meaning that you could have particle contents also in your page md

Just building new Woocommerce si and moved it to AWS server. https://getgofone.net/ Having a few speed issues. One I noticed was the favicon. If this was not set then created a delay. I have added now and fixed it but maybe worth having a default favicon in the setup

getting Preload issues with fontawesome/fontawesome-webfont.woff?v=4.1.0. I have added FontAwsome Pro to my header. Can I turn of the older 4.1.0?

@mahagr Thanks for that position rendering tip - I was thinking of the UI options, though. I have a RT theme (Photon) and the Positions page includes named regions like this Utility A: https://thekenshow.keybase.pub/position-in-predefined-region.png. When I add a Particle to an area like this, the configuration includes an Assignments tab where I can select Page, Page Type, Language, like this: https://thekenshow.keybase.pub/position-particle-assignments-tab.png.

The only relationship between the Positions named regions and Layout sections I can find is that the Base Outline has Positions assigned to every Layout section, and those position names (e.g., "utility-a" correspond to the region names on the Positions page: https://thekenshow.keybase.pub/position-default-inherited-from-base.png.

SUBJCT: Sticky Sidebar
I've been looking for a method for Gantry 5 - Helium theme for example - how to create the 'sticky sidebar' effect. Tried Google of course but some of the solutions seem heavy on javascript (this is from stackoverflow and reddit results).
Has anyone found a method that sits in Gantry5 that I could apply? It looks useful for a specific e-store I'm building.
I'm looking for the effect whereby the sidebar top is below the header section but does not break the footer (or any section below the side bar block)

@mahagr I think I've figured out the Position Assignment. It just overrides whether or not the a Layout displays a position based on the Page or Page Type being rendered. There's no mapping beyond the module-position name. The default RT region naming on the Positions page aligns with the default Base Outline module-position naming.

@dmleeman I have used the particle from @JoomFX that @yellowwebmonkey pointed out, the OnePage Menu.
He has also provided a particle that uses some of the code from the OnePage Menu particlie. It basically creates a "sticky" position that you can then assign a particle to.
You can check out the OnePage Menu particle where I've added it on this site and the other one where I've added a custom menu particle assigned to the sticky position to this site.

@victornet909_twitter , I use Gantry on Joomla and Elementor on Wordpress. I wouldn't use both on the same site. There is a lot of overlap in functionality

I switched my Joomla template from the Beez3 to a Gantry 5 Theme and I am getting a display overlap on the page. I am not certain was is causing it or where to go to fix it. The page looks fine in Beez3 but not in any of the Gantry 5 Themes (ex. Helium, Hydrogen or Simone from Rocket Themes). All other pages look great it is just one.

issues with menus in WordPress worse after update. menu items keep getting lost and I have to delete the menu.yaml again to reset
