This is where Panel plugins would rock. But nice job with the preview!
I’d love to be able to drag images from teh desktop to the sidebar. Because of Gmail I do it all the time, and my Panel screen is replaced with the image :D

Yeah, adding it as a field is definitely hacky
I'd be happy with a sidebar dropzone.

LOVING kirby, i don't suppose you know how to directly edit the appearance of the panel itself?

yeah, actually I think there is a way to do it in Kirby 2 without messing with the core

Ah, this is what you want
c::set('panel.stylesheet', 'assets/css/custompanel.css’);
I knew there was a way, I just couldnt remember

Changing the top bar is fiddly! Change .topbar .breadcrumb and others, just to change the color aha
Thanks for the help!

all of my clients have been very willing to pay for Kirby and all of them have had the same response when they first used it... "wow this is way easier to use than wordpress"

Expression engine is $300 USD, granted it probably serves a different audience. Wordpress is free but the amount of time you spend patching and applying security updates makes it not so free.

Sadly i think i'll struggle with persuading clients that £60 on top of their quoted price is worth the price, but I'll certainly try and use it when i find a client that will
That's not what clients look for generally, as painful as it is
It's Free/Cheap > everything given the choice
especially when they go round seeing everyone using wordpress

In the end, i think its most important that you use the tools you feel most comfortable with and the tools that make sense for the job.

I'd be very wary of clients with that mentality. :)
