I just set up SSL for my re:dash instance using let's encrypt (https://letsencrypt.org) and have an A+ result on SSLLabs (https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest) after some tweaking. Would anyone be interested in a short guide? I'm not sure if it's too far outside of the scope of re:dash (setting up a cert, generating stronger DHE paramater, tweaking nginx config) to be included in the official docs (like http://docs.redash.io/en/latest/misc/ssl.html) or not.

Hi, those of you who prefer it are welcome to join the Slack team: http://slack.redash.io/
For now I will hangout both here and there (and everywhere else), but if there will be more "traction" on Slack I might shutdown the Gitter channel.

hi @arikfr , i have this issue: i'm looking for a way to restrict some users to only see some dashboards. I thought it could be possible with organizations, so i updated the version to RC, but by command line i can't assign the organization to new users, so my questions are: is it really possible and is there any way to do this without hacking to the code/db?

@GSeva there are two concepts in the new version that might help you: group permissions & organizations. Multiple organizations is still work in progress, and I don't recommend using it yet. Also each organization is a complete silo - it has its own users, datasources, etc. In a single organization it's better to use multiple groups (if possible).

With groups, if a user doesn't have access to a datasource, he will see the dashboard listed but he won't see the actual widgets (or their names). Can this be good enough for your needs?

@arikfr thank you for fast and complete answer, the problem is we have a lot of dashboards so i was looking for a way to show them dashboards they need only. On the other hand, all the dashboards come from the same datasource, so i'm not sure if duplicating it is the way to go

@GSeva if it's not a permissions issue, but rather just an "organization" one, then we can think of a different solution. For example: are you grouping your dashboards into groups? If you name them like "Group A: Dashboard Name" that in the menu they will appear under "Group A" (see in the demo instance the "Examples"/"BigQuery" and other groups.

@GSeva will this help?
@GSeva also, the homepage shows for each user the recent dashboards he used, so that should be some help too...

@arikfr grouping is nice, we'll definitely use it. But it would be really cool to have groups of users with their own dashboards to read or update without seeing other groups stuff. It's a feature request :)

@GSeva :+1: I'll keep that in mind. It will take me some time to get to this, but eventually it will be there.
