@sandrop8 is there a reason for a different regions? Because beside the security issues you also have higher latency and bandwidth costs. But if you want to keep it as is, and your Redshift cluster has an external address, you can allow access using the Redash instance ip.
And if you relaunch it in the same vpc, then you can just use regular security group rules.

@arikfr thanks. I will try to relaunch. Do you know if I then would need to install JDBC drivers on my mac? Just as I caused errors and maybe I don't need it anyway.

@sandrop8 Re:dash is a web application. You only need a browser to access it on your Mac.

@arikfr my test query successfully showed up "completed" in redshift, but it executes endlessly in redash? what would be the right host? Or any other idea?

Hi, I am currently trying to setup Re:dash with Google OAuth option and run into some troubles. Can I ask for few answers?

@arikfr Thank you. I'm currently on mobile so won't be able to test this right away. Anyway I was trying to go through your tutorial about redash and Google OAuth but I'm pretty sure that Google Developer interface changed from time it was written. Is there any updated version or something like that?
I'm pretty sure that it is some kind of lame question. Anyway - I'm hardly developer and my company want to test your product in this setup.
In fact maybe better question is if I will be able to provide some ACL by using this authentication schema. I'm thinking about scenario where I setup Google OAuth for the sake of security but will be able to select which Google Users will be able to access out Re:dash.

I'm pretty sorry for asking this kind of question but Google OAuth is kind of mystery for me.
