Apologies if I'm in the wrong place for this, but I've looked everywhere I can think of. Is there a way to auto-populate options into a multi-filter ?

@MattSNZ no. it uses the first row in the result set. There is an open pull request to add support for setting the multi filter params from the URL.
@MattSNZ what are you trying to do?

I have a table showing a subset of our support org's conversations filtered by assignee and I'd like it to default to show all of them rather than just the first result

yeah, no way for that at the moment :\ you can follow this issue: getredash/redash#608 to know if it gets implemented.

Stink. I was thinking that may have been the case. Thanks for your help!

@arikfr any hints on how one can implement getredash/redash#1026 I may want to try that as it has become a deal breaker now!

@ChiragKParmar the main requirement to be able to do this is to be able to render visualizations on the server side. I was thinking of using some headless browser for this. But this requires further investigation and planning. If you think you have the time (this is a few days work) to invest we can discuss this in more detail.

But there are a few interim solutions:

  1. https://gist.github.com/arikfr/a730451c01d1dd326412 - you can use this script, if you want to mail CSV results by email.
  2. If you want to send dashboards/charts, you can use something like: https://gist.github.com/arikfr/efd2318cac809b21ee41 to render them as PDFs and then mail those PDFs using a script.

Thanks for the interim solution @arikfr I guess I will be able to investigate during this weekend. Any pointers to start investigation?
