does anyone know if there's a way to use parameters in dashboard widget?
*widgets
seems like it would be kind of essential to access the parameterized query functionality in any usable way but i'm not really seeing any way to do it

@runa problem is that there is a reference from queries table to the query results table (the last query result for this query).
@amitkhannacs you create the visualization from the query view and then you can add it to the dashboard.

@scott-hand you can use parameters in a dashboard the same way you would use them in a query - by passing the value via the URL. UI for parameters is planned for v0.11 (next release).

Can anybody help me figure out why redash returns an empty dataset when reading a json like this? https://gist.githubusercontent.com/lfnovo/ca4b128b8396dbd18636269f20fe3f5f/raw/0b6591366421d80b3b5341af4f9db44591fa3200/something.json

Hi! Before nothing else: thanks for the cool software! I have re:dash VM in Google Cloud Compute built using re:dash's recommended image. I noticed that every (early) morning there's a CPU peek that lasts for a few minutes and then goes back to normal. Does anyone knows what happens with this re:dash image, some scheduled maintenance, or something like that?

@lfnovo I assume you're referring to the URL data source? because it's not the format Redash expects.
@atilatini maybe Postgres' VACUUM operation?

/all you're all welcome to ignite the discussion on our new Discourse instance: https://discuss.redash.io/ I want to move new features and support discussions over there (instead of people opening GitHub issues).

@arikfr Well, there's indeed vacuum activity at 7am, I can tell after seeing the log. Bull's eye, Arik. Thank you. The amount of CPU consumption at that specific moment is amazing, though (169%). Is this really important, considering my humble queries? Any thoughts?
